Role Summary:
The Master Scheduler will develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule, split between 3 areas: scheduling valves, quoting valves and inventory. This person will ensure the forecast, backlog, and customer demand align with the available capacity. This role will also coordinate with support departments to determine priorities, future trends, and constraints. Has to make sure that the scheduling times, scheduling orders are aligned with lead times.
Work hours: Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
Location: Springville, UT.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain the master schedule
· Quote and Demand customer orders into backlog at best available date based on parts and capacity availability.
· Coordinate order flow between planning, sales, and engineering.
· Review all demand requests and demand change requests per Master Scheduling Standard Work
· Monitor and action exception messages from MRP.
· Oversee updates to Master Data consistent with Inventory Policy and plant strategy
· Generate demand forecast, analyze statistical data, recommend solutions, and conduct quarterly demand forecast maintenance
· Support on-time delivery as per confirmed/quoted date (service level reliability)
· Manage bottlenecks and capacity constraints
· Perform additional related duties deemed appropriate by supervisor/manager
Requirements:
· BS/BA degree in related discipline or 5+ years of relevant scheduling/planning experience in lieu of the degree.
· 5+ years of professional scheduling/planning experience in a manufacturing environment
· Experience utilizing an MRP/ERP system.
· Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
· Strong planning, scheduling and negotiation skills.
· Ability to implement schedule management process consistent with customer requirements and internal processes and best practices
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· U.S. Citizen
Preferred Experience / Skills :
· APICS certification
· Oracle and/or SAP proficiency
