• Take responsibility for the production and control of the design programme and report against it.
• Chair design workshops with the trade contractors and consultants, develop the design, workshop drawings and manage the coordination between trades.
• Manage the production and approval of samples, mock ups and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate the integration of the building services with the architectural and structural elements of the project.
• Produce technical proposals for tender returns.

Due to continued growth, you will be joining a market leading regional main contractor working on a large £22m high-rise development.

You will be working on £22m RC frame student accommodation located in the heart of Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Design Manager to take the technical and design lead. You will be working alongside knowledgeable, professional, and supportive construction professionals who will provide you with the environment in which you can thrive and progress your career.

Required AND Desired Qualifications:

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• The successful candidate must have a career history and track record of Design Management and a Senior Design roles within a similar size main contractor environment and have worked on large sizeable construction projects.
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and work to strict build programmes and deadlines & exceed client expectations.
• Track record of the delivery of high standards.
• Excellent planning & time management skills.
