This position is located in the Office of Legal Education (OLE), Executive office for United State Attorneys (EOUSA). OLE is responsible for training attorneys, legal staff, and other designated staff for the Department of Justice as well as other federal agencies, state, local and tribal governments, and foreign governments. Typical work assignments will include:
- Providing technical and administrative support to training teams for one or more legal education functional area (e.g., criminal, civil, counterterrorism, legal support staff, and automated litigation support).
- Serving as point of contact for all training management actions, which includes pre-course planning, design, and administration.
- Ensuring deadlines are met for updating course management software, course announcements, materials and student assignments.
- Ensuring students complete documentation required for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit or other credit required by professional organizations.
- Providing support to students before and during event, including assisting with uploading materials, setting up audio-video connections, testing connections, helping coordinates any IT support that may be required, and monitoring sessions to ensure smooth delivery.
- Assisting students and faculty in classroom use of audio-visual equipment and with computer-based exercises requiring legal support applications such as SANCTION, Case Map, and other specialized applications.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
