Primary Teaching Assistant role - ASAP Start - North West London
A very welcoming and diverse primary school located in Wembley, Brent is currently looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team working in the reception class ASAP.
Working as a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children with SEND within the classroom in reception, and your day-to-day duties will include but are not limited to:
• Supporting and working 1:1 with key children to reach the targets on their EHCPs
• Delivering/assisting with the delivery of learning interventions, 1:1 and in small groups, helping the children to understand the agreed outcomes of these and the ways they can work towards achieving their targets
• Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing
• Providing pupils with a range of learning strategies
• Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities
• Assisting with early reading and early maths skills development
• Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
• Encouraging development through interactive play and exploration
• Closely monitoring the academic and social progress of key children
• Supporting children with SEND in an inclusive environment
