We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Business Development Manager to drive growth in employer-facing provision across the Education Training Collective, reporting to the Group Marketing & Business Engagement Director.

As the leader of a small, but incredibly impactful team, you will be a strategic thinker, you will be solutions focussed and use your natural ability to create long-term relationships which employers which result in solutions to the skills challenges across the Tees Valley and beyond.

What you’ll do:
• Manage and support the Business Development Coordinators to achieve monthly targets for commercial and apprenticeship programs.
• Create and implement innovative operational plans to enhance apprenticeship and training growth.
• Build relationships with large levy-paying businesses to promote and recruit for our apprenticeship programs.
• Lead the development of our CRM system to improve engagement with staff and employer clients.
• Utilize IT systems for effective reporting and financial management.
• Set and review performance targets and contribute to business planning.
• Oversee apprentice recruitment processes and analyse current trends.
• Stay updated on government policies affecting apprenticeships and workplace learning.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and manage departmental budgets effectively.

The type of person you will be:
• Education: Relevant degree or equivalent experience in business development or a related field.
• Experience: Proven track record in business development, particularly in apprenticeships or training sectors.
• Knowledge:
o In-depth understanding of apprenticeship, BELP and Bootcamps processes.
o Up-to-date knowledge of T-Levels, Study Programmes, and Industrial/Work Placements.
• Motivation: High degree of motivation to achieve demanding performance targets.
• Business Acumen: Experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Relationship Building: Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, businesses, and stakeholders.
• ICT Proficiency: Skilled in using ICT for tracking performance, delivering presentations, and management reporting.
• Resilience: Flexibility, stamina, and reliability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team reporting to our HR Team Leader. The position is fixed term maternity cover, with an anticipated start date of late January 2024. Our Human Resources department is fast paced with a team who work with a real sense of togetherness.

As a HR Coordinator with Etc. you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR administrative support service across the group, ensuring that all pre-employment safer recruitment requirements are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.

The ideal candidate will be organised and have excellent IT and problem-solving skills, the ability to work to high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, be willing to learn and develop, and importantly will align with the mission and values of the group.

Previous HR experience is not necessary as full training will be provided to ensure that the HR Coordinator is able to provide a high quality, customer focussed and confidential HR administrative service, to employees, managers and external customers. You will be expected to have a trade related qualification, within the carpentry and joinery industry and have the ability to build positive relationships with both staff, students and employers. You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills as well as demonstrating a flexible and professional attitude.

The role is to support curriculum staff and the apprenticeship team within the department to ensure apprentices are supported throughout their training journey form onboarding to completion of their end point assessment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Department Assistant: Quality to join our Quality Team reporting to our Head of Quality of Education, on a fixed term contract until 16/10/24, maternity cover. Our Quality Team is small and friendly team who work hard to make a difference to the teaching staff across the whole organisation.

As a Department Assistant: Quality with Etc. you will be responsible for

Coordinate Surveys: Manage various surveys using QDP's learner survey software, ensuring smooth implementation and accurate data collection.
Facilitate Focus Groups: Help organise and conduct focus groups for learners and stakeholders, fostering open communication and gathering valuable insights.
Maintain Survey Records: Keep detailed records of learner survey outcomes, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of data for analysis and reporting.
Communication Hub: Effectively communicate survey and focus group outcomes to relevant stakeholders, promoting transparency and awareness within the Quality department.
Administrative Support: Provide crucial administrative support, including assisting with team meetings, record-keeping, and carrying out additional duties as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, flexible and organised. They will have excellent IT and problem solving skills, with a good eye for detail and an understanding of the importance of accuracy. They must be willing to learn and develop and be a great team player.
