Key Responsibilities:

• Answering phone calls and directing them to the right contacts
• Managing emails and taking messages
• Performing data entry, filing, and document scanning
• Providing customer service in person and over the phone
• Utilising Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative programs
• Assisting with additional tasks as required by the Host Employer

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Eligibility to undertake a Traineeship
• Professional demeanour, well-presented, enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual
• Motivated with a positive attitude toward learning and development
• General computer skills: experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred
• Driver’s license and access to transportation is preferred and highly regarded

We’re seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Carpentry Apprentices.

If successful, you will be completing your trade with one of our Host Employers, who will give you in-depth knowledge and guidance to help you become trade qualified within 4 years. 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year Apprentices are encouraged to apply.

With the support of qualified trades people, you will be:

• Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
• Measuring materials
• Using a variety of hand and power tools
• Carrying out calculations
• Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts
• Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts
• Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures
• Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames
• Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
• Cutting wood joints
• May construct concrete formwork
• May repair existing fittings
• May work with plastic laminates, Perspex and metals
• Any other tasks requested by the host employer

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:

• An interest and commitment to work in Construction
• A White Card or the ability to obtain one ASAP
• A current Drivers License or be close to obtaining one, and have your own reliable transport
• Certificate I or II in Construction is advantageous
• Work experience within the construction industry is highly desirable
• Physically fit, self-disciplined, and have high attention to detail
• Reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to take direction and take the safety of yourself and your team members seriously
• Ideally, have your own basic tools (including nail bag)

Interested in admin and reception work? East Coast Apprenticeships are seeking multiple business trainees to work on the Sunshine Coast! This is a 12-24 (depending on part-time or full-time) month paid traineeship, where you will work towards a Certificate III in Business. Roles could be placed in solicitors offices, medical offices, general office, etc.

Duties may include but not limited to:
- Answering the phone and directing to appropriate people
- Taking messages and managing emails
- Data entry, filing and scanning. Ensuring reception area is always kept tidy
- Customer service – in person and over the phone
- Use of Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative programs

Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Genuinely seeking a foot in the door within the business industry
- Be well presented, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual
- Be motivated with a positive attitude
- Attention to detail and initiative to take on tasks
- Drivers licence and own transport preferred

- Plan and put in place programs based on individual children's needs prepare and supervise play and learning activities
- Maintain a safe, clean and appealing environment
- Observe and record children’s learning and development
- Liaise with parents and other professionals
- Support the participation of children with extra needs in the program
- Perform basic first aid in emergencies
- Help children with daily routines and promote health and safety concepts
- Guide and promote positive social interactions between children.
