This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. What you’ll be doing

You’ll support the design and layout of building projects by ensuring technical accuracy and consistency in input data, such as diagrams, equipment data, and cable lists. You’ll collaborate with a CAD team to position equipment, design pipe routes, and integrate HVAC and electrical components within a 3D model.

You’ll also be responsible for preparing essential technical documents, including reports, equipment notes, and design procedures, and will distribute layout drawings to project teams, ensuring they meet compliance standards.

You will manage project changes effectively and oversee requested modifications, address technical issues, coordinate layout reviews, and support design companies in creating manufacturing deliverables.


Who you are

Being a Plant Layout Engineer means bringing expertise in engineering areas like piping, mechanical, HVAC, and safety to support complex projects in an industrial setting. You’ll apply a solid understanding of layout standards for industrial projects, with a particular emphasis on safety protocols, especially within nuclear facilities, addressing aspects such as flooding, fire protection, and radiological safety.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll support ITBS staff in using configuration tools (UKDC/IDT/OPM) and ensure that all configuration processes are followed to improve design stability and maturity. You’ll handle the technical impacts of open points and design changes, and report progress on project goals to the ITBS Manager and HPC Technical Director, escalating issues as needed.
In this role, you’ll coordinate team efforts to meet ITBS objectives, managing safety requirements within the design, and acting as the Level 2 Open Point Coordinator, overseeing status updates and daily processes. You’ll also manage ITBS interfaces, attend relevant committee meetings, and maintain key safety and environmental data, ensuring alignment with project standards.

Serving as the main contact for safety integration across teams like CNEPE, HPC Nuclear Services, and Edvance, you’ll monitor progress through KPIs and dashboards, and promote best practices in integration and configuration across ITBx entities.


Who you are

As the Safety Integration Lead at EDF, you’ll bring a degree in engineering, along with strong leadership skills to coordinate and resolve technical issues across multidisciplinary teams. You’ll have extensive knowledge of EPR design and engineering processes and a solid grasp of UK laws, regulations, nuclear industry standards and best practices.

Your role requires setting clear objectives, driving team performance, and effectively communicating progress to senior stakeholders. What you will be doing

Who you are

We’re looking for you to hold a strong foundation in managing complex engineering or construction projects, ideally with hands-on experience in Project Management or Project Engineering. Familiarity with NEC contracts is a big plus, as is a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant science or engineering field. Additional requirements for this role include:

As a Civil Building Lead for the SZC project, you’ll oversee the preparation and justification phases for building replication based on the HPC design. This involves collecting and preparing input data from both HPC and specific SZC sources, as well as coordinating and reviewing the calculation phase. You’ll conduct reviews and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project requirements for cost, quality, and timelines are met as defined by the Civil Lead. As the project progresses, you may also manage a small team of civil engineers.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll coordinate complex technical issues and transverse topics across various programs and disciplines, ensuring these activities progress effectively. You’ll assist in preparing technical documentation for procurement alongside the Contract Engineering Lead (CEL) and support SZC by facilitating technical discussions during the procurement phase before contracts are signed with the civil designer.

You’ll ensure that all technical issues are addressed within the Nuclear Island Civil works activities and manage the resolution of complex points within your scope. Additionally, you’ll support the CEL in coordinating with the civil designer and stakeholders to produce designs, review deliverables, and ensure they align with the validated schedule.

You’ll identify the need for updates to key documents and produce them in time for the civil designer's input data package. Managing workload and resources effectively, you’ll distribute tasks within your team, evaluate performance, and prepare design change papers for presentation in change committees. You’ll also verify the consistency of input data from previous projects, conduct technical verifications of design documents, and participate in maturity and gate reviews with stakeholders. Finally, you’ll contribute to CDM reviews and maintain the Design Risk Register.


Who you are

You will possess strong technical expertise in civil engineering, particularly in the seismic design of reinforced concrete structures. You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, making technical decisions with or without support when necessary. You’ll have a solid reporting capability, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

Your knowledge of CDM regulations will be essential, and you’ll excel at building collaborative relationships with various internal and external stakeholders. Maintaining high standards of safety and quality will be a priority, supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should also demonstrate strong negotiation abilities and a delivery-focused approach to meet commitments and deadlines. What you’ll be doing
The Civil Building Lead is a product-focused role responsible for the development of specific structures, buildings, or cross-functional areas. As a Civil Building Lead for the Sizewell C (SZC) project, you’ll oversee the preparation and justification phases for building replication based on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) design. This involves collecting and preparing input data from both HPC and specific SZC sources, as well as coordinating and reviewing the calculation phase.
This position involves receiving, analysing, and verifying the consistency of input data, performing technical verifications on design notes, models, and drawings, and overseeing the anchorage designs by equipment suppliers. The role requires close collaboration with site-based engineering teams and subject matter experts to support seamless construction and coordination with civil designers and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of key project components.
In addition, the Civil Building Lead will assess and implement design modifications requested by various engineering teams, contribute to project and contract risk registers, and prepare design change papers for presentation in change committees. You will support internal contract management teams in administering relevant contracts and proactively identify and report risks that could impact project timelines or costs within their scope.

Who you are
You will hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and possess extensive experience in the field, along with in-depth knowledge of Eurocodes and Health & Safety regulations. Have a solid understanding of EPR engineering processes and project engineering procedures, coupled with a demonstrated ability to set, achieve, and uphold high standards in safety and quality.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to build effective relationships with various stakeholders. Excellent team management and people engagement skills are also critical. A working knowledge of French, familiarity with the ETC-C design code, and experience with software like PDMS and TEKLA are desirable.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with the Discipline Manager to prioritise safety and ensure high-quality design activities across the civil engineering group. This includes adherence to engineering standards, processes, tools, and methods outlined in the engineering manual. A key part of this role involves developing technical competencies within the civil discipline, with a strong emphasis on knowledge transfer between France and the UK for projects like Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC).As the Group Lead, you will review engineering documents for compliance with technical, nuclear safety, and environmental standards, and provide the Discipline Manager with insights on quality-related risks, workload, scheduling, resource allocation, competencies, and budgeting.
This role also requires a strategic focus on technical leadership, health and safety, work planning, succession management, quality assurance, and on-the-job skill development. Additionally, you will work closely with project operational managers when civil resources are integrated into project teams, ensuring alignment across the civil discipline, fostering collaboration with the other civil groups within the projects.
