Field Technician — Civil Works/Mechanical/Electrical/HSE (French and English speaker)

The Opportunity

Put your skills and dedication to good use and help us build the next generation of EPR/EPR2 (Evolutionary Power Reactor) nuclear power plants in Europe, starting with Hinkley Point C in Somerset, England, followed by Penly in Seine-Maritime, France. This is your chance to be part of a significant project shaping the future of the French energy market and nuclear sector: a program that will focus on building three pairs of reactors across France.
As part of the EPR2 project, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work on a large-scale program, on an industrial, technical, and human level. You will initially join EDF Energy UK to spend a few years at the HPC site in the south-west of England. Afterwards, you’ll join the EDF SA (France) team in charge of building the EPR2 site in Penly.
Both sites will give you an opportunity to oversee activities within your area of expertise, and make sure project objectives are met to the highest standards.

What you will be doing…

You will act as the primary contact for contract holders regarding all matters relating to delivery and safety. Your responsibilities will include the following activities:


- Prepare field reports and anticipate logistical and regulatory issues (in particular).
- Support the monitoring process — which includes drafting monitoring programs and guides, assisting controllers — ensuring compliance with security, safety, and quality requirements, and monitoring the documentation issued by contract holders.
- Ensure adherence to these monitoring programs.
- Coordinate critical or high-stake activities and facilitate the communication with other departments and stakeholders.


Who you are…


- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or HSE.
- You have proven experience in carrying out or monitoring work on large-scale sites. Knowledge of nuclear facilities would be an asset.
- You demonstrate autonomy, responsibility, rigour, and leadership.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.
- You are proficient in English (minimum level B1).

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead a dedicated team of data analysts to support the Production Control team, ensuring high-quality, actionable data is provided to monitor and improve schedule adherence. You’ll oversee the analysis of Level 4 and Level 5 schedules, progress reports, and other critical data, creating targeted weekly reports that drive performance improvements.

You’ll collaborate closely with the L5 Planning and Production Control teams to deliver insightful data, identify areas for continuous improvement, and support the creation of action plans for schedule adherence. Your leadership will ensure that data is understood, validated, and effectively integrated across the team, helping drive mitigation, recovery planning, and resolution of key issues.


Who you are

You’ll bring proven leadership experience in managing teams within high-pressure environments, consistently delivering top-quality results to tight deadlines. You’ll have knowledge of project planning processes, particularly within Engineering, Procurement, and Construction, to identify and resolve complex issues across multiple project interfaces.

With significant experience in project controls, Primavera P6, MS Excel, Power BI, and database management, you’ll ensure effective schedule management and oversight. You’ll also utilise your expertise in project/programme management to provide clear, actionable insights, creating visual and written reports that drive success.

You should have a strong background in regulated industries such as Nuclear, Defence, or Aerospace to enable you to engage effectively across all levels of the project, building strong relationships and fostering collaboration in a dynamic team environment. Previous experience in HPC processes, procedures and working practices would be beneficial.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work closely with the NCR management team to develop and deploy tools and processes for non-conformance resolution across the HPC project. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the effectiveness of NCR processes across manufacturing, site, and internal operations, and maintaining alignment between these areas.

You’ll oversee a team of NCR Facilitators, monitor non-conformance resolutions, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements, escalating issues as needed.

Additionally, you’ll provide reporting and trend analysis to key stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of NCR management practices across the project.


Who you are

You will have experience in project delivery, ideally within the nuclear power sector, with a focus on quality management across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning.

You’ll need a strong understanding of quality assurance and control best practices, as well as the ability to influence and advocate for practical solutions while remaining open to new ideas.

This role requires excellent communication skills, with experience in preparing presentations, interfacing with project teams, supply chain, and building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. What you’ll be doing
As the Commissioning Environment Compliance Lead, you will play a vital role in enhancing Environmental Safety performance by managing risks across the Commissioning program. You’ll establish meetings to plan and review environmental activities aligned with the HPC Safety Management System.

You will produce performance reports for the Head of Commissioning Authority, highlighting trends and recommending actions. Engaging with the team on environmental risks, you will support regulatory interfaces and maintain safety risk profiles. By conducting risk assessments and inspections, you’ll ensure compliance with legal duties.

Collaborating closely with Health, Safety, and Environmental professionals, you’ll support emergency preparedness and effective Environmental Incident Management. Who you are

What you’ll be doing


- Develop commissioning documentation relating to the governance and oversight of commissioning testing and system validation activities.
- Contribute to the smooth running of project through the development and oversight of the governance processes required to enable the safe and controlled progress of commissioning.
- Assist in the detailed planning of commissioning authority activities including commissioning phases.
- Assist in the smooth running of the authorisation of site commissioning activities including oversight of the commissioning organisation to achieve successful and safe commissioning of HPC systems.

Who you are

As a Commissioning Authority Engineer, you’ll have some knowledge/experience in a highly regulated industry such as Nuclear Generation, Oil & Gas, or other heavy/manufacturing industries.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Commercial/Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the daily management of Commercial and Supply Chain Managers and their Assistants, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

You will ensure that all commercial team activities align with established procedures and oversee the development and delivery of a robust Commercial and Contract Strategy.

You will manage stakeholder engagement, addressing risks related to Contract Delivery, Suppliers, and the Supply Chain.

In the procurement phase, you will support the Commercial Lead by reviewing procurement routes and ensuring alignment with project schedules. During the execution phase, you will lead contract management, ensuring compatibility across projects, including Scope of Work, Prices, Key Personnel, and Contract Administration.

Finally, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the closeout phase of each contract, ensuring all requirements are met and finalised.


Who you are

We’re looking for proven and experienced Senior Commercial Managers, with experience in FIDIC and NEC 3&4 suite of contracts and major projects, as well as knowledge of UK law and its impact upon the contracts and commercial function. You’ll also demonstrate a good understanding of procurement, contract performance measurement, risk, change and claim management.

You’ll be able to work across multiple discipline teams to develop, implement, and operate commercial strategies and contractual agreements. You’ll have a big-picture view and be able to develop and execute innovative approaches to commercial delivery for the benefit of the project.

Member of the RICS / CICES / IOB / CIPS or equivalent professional body is desirable.

What you will be doing

What you will be doing

As the Configuration Management Lead, you’ll provide technical leadership across health and safety, work planning, quality assurance, financial management, and team development—bringing a strong focus on nuclear professionalism and safety. You’ll oversee configuration progress and ensure design-impact decisions are made swiftly, while maintaining consistent configuration control and proactive collaboration with plant integration and commissioning teams. Key responsibilities include mitigating risks alongside the I&C delivery program, minimising impacts on Independent Confidence Building Measures (ICBM) activities, and supporting Nuclear Services in building a high-trust relationship with the ONR. - Lead configuration management of I&C platforms from post-handover of I&C cabinets (MEH to commissioning) through to handover to operations, potentially extending to the first unit refueller.
- Drive HPC to meet safety, quality, time, and cost targets by building a skilled, agile team and developing a responsive configuration control process that aligns with commissioning needs.

Who you are

We’re looking for you to be a skilled leader with a degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, physics, or a related field, along with a strong foundation in the IAEA standards for configuration management in nuclear power plants. You’ll bring proven leadership and line management skills, along with a successful track record of delivering projects in highly technical, complex, and dynamic settings. Ideally, you’ve honed these skills in the Nuclear Energy sector or another highly regulated industry, maintaining a steadfast commitment to safety, security, and environmental responsibility. Additional requirements to be successful in this position includes:

What you will be doing

In this dynamic role, you will take the lead in managing and coordinating investigations on the HPC Project from start to finish. This includes initiating investigations, gathering evidence, analysing findings, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to ensure lessons learned are embedded to prevent future occurrences. You will own the Investigation Review Meeting, providing essential support to the committee, while also empowering trained investigators across the project to complete investigations promptly. The Opportunity
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. What you will be doing

In this crucial role, you’ll offer support when an issue arises on site with construction and installation and be part of a team who assess the acceptability of issues and develop design solutions to address them promptly. This role involves answering and resolving queries for non-conformance, design changes, and exemption requests, which require categorisation based on their nuclear safety and environmental impact. You will critically assess the feasibility of challenging design decisions to ensure they align with project strategies, collaborating closely with the technical team to find effective solutions. Other roles and responsibilities in the role include:


- Ensure compliance with Nuclear Safety and Environmental Regulation requirements through thorough oversight.
- Gathering input data, analysing/updating hypothesis notes, and preparing loading description reports.
- Performing mechanical stress analyses: piping flexibility calculations, piping supports calculations, or any analysis required to resolve encountered issues.
- Advocate for design decisions that align with the project's strategic objectives.
- Coordinate with external organisations to provide necessary support.
- Contribute to resolving and closing Open Points effectively.
- Evaluate technical risks and implement mitigation strategies accordingly.
- Foster a strong relationship with EDF EPR Engineering (Responsible Designer).
- Report directly to an Engineering Lead on operational matters.


Who you are

Although a degree in a relevant subject matter would be advantageous, it is not essential. With this said, we are looking for you to hold the following skills and experiences to complete this role:


- Proficient in piping and support design for nuclear systems, installation, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with piping design principles such as mechanical sizing, piping flexibility calculation and support calculation.
- Knowledge of QRA, EUROCODE, ASME and RCC-M code
- Demonstrated application of multidisciplinary technical expertise in the nuclear industry.
- Familiarity with the construction and installation sector.
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including CDM and Nuclear Site License requirements.
- Experienced in welding engineering principles.
- Skilled in influencing diverse stakeholders, especially in a site environment.
- Capable of working autonomously, taking proactive measures, and reporting or escalating pertinent issues.

The Opportunity

Put your skills and dedication to good use and help us build the next generation of EPR/EPR2 (Evolutionary Power Reactor) nuclear power plants in Europe, starting with Hinkley Point C in Somerset, England, followed by Penly in Seine-Maritime, France. This is your chance to be part of a significant project shaping the future of the French energy market and nuclear sector: a program that will focus on building three pairs of reactors across France.
As part of the EPR2 project, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work on a large-scale program, on an industrial, technical, and human level. You will initially join EDF Energy UK to spend a few years at the HPC site in the south-west of England. Afterwards, you’ll join the EDF SA (France) team in charge of building the EPR2 site in Penly.
Both sites will give you an opportunity to oversee activities within your area of expertise, and make sure project objectives are met to the highest standards.

What you will be doing…

You will act as the primary contact for contract holders regarding all matters relating to delivery and safety. Your responsibilities will include the following activities:


- Prepare field reports and anticipate logistical and regulatory issues (in particular).
- Support the monitoring process — which includes drafting monitoring programs and guides, assisting controllers — ensuring compliance with security, safety, and quality requirements, and monitoring the documentation issued by contract holders.
- Ensure adherence to these monitoring programs.
- Coordinate critical or high-stake activities and facilitate the communication with other departments and stakeholders.


Who you are…


- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or HSE.
- You have proven experience in carrying out or monitoring work on large-scale sites. Knowledge of nuclear facilities would be an asset.
- You demonstrate autonomy, responsibility, rigour, and leadership.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.
- You are proficient in English (minimum level B1).

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire Commissioning Programme, including its technical delivery and organisational structure. - Monitoring data quality and proactively addressing any issues.

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams.

As an HVAC Technical Lead, you’ll oversee technical impact assessments, coordinate, and manage HVAC studies, and ensure the effective production and monitoring of HVAC system analyses to support project goals and system reliability.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll assess HVAC requests that may impact the discipline, gathering relevant inputs, evaluating design impacts, and producing technical assessments and solutions with thorough justifications. This includes performing aeraulic and anchor plate calculations, conducting system analyses, and ensuring alignment with design intent. You’ll collaborate with the RD Back-Office and execution designers, monitor deliverables, and initiate change processes as needed to address site requests effectively.

You’ll manage all aspects of the change process and act as the point of contact for design modifications, interfacing with contract and construction teams. This role includes tracking modifications requested by engineering teams, contractors, and clients, and conducting system engineering reviews with all stakeholders involved. You’ll regularly report progress and challenges to the HVAC Discipline Lead and raise alerts for any emerging design issues.

In addition, you’ll support the closure of design open points after HVAC package delivery, contribute lessons learned, and share technical insights within the JDO-DT HVAC team. Through team meetings and organised feedback collection, you’ll promote continuous improvement in HVAC processes, helping the team achieve both project and individual objectives.


Who you are

As an HVAC Technical Lead, you’ll hold a degree and have experience in HVAC systems, particularly in EPR or other nuclear projects. You’ll be skilled in nuclear site engineering and proficient in 2D and 3D design software like AutoCAD and Navisworks, with experience in 3D model visualisation for layout analysis. Additionally, you’ll understand general HVAC layout principles specific to nuclear projects and be familiar with the operational and safety aspects of nuclear power stations.

You’ll be an effective communicator to collaborate with diverse teams. You will analyse design impacts and implement solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and addressing engineering challenges in a regulated environment.

We are looking for someone with a proven ability to deliver results and manage HVAC systems in nuclear settings. Strong relationship-building skills will be essential as you work with stakeholders at all levels to drive project success and maintain safety standards.
