This position starts at a salary of $143,736.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to$186,854.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $186,854 (GS-15Step 10).
In this Supervisory CBP Officer (Port Director) position you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals managing a variety of law enforcement programs. Typical work assignments include:
- Providing technical advice on the admissibility of travelers; import/export of cargo/merchandise and articles of accompanying persons.
- Approving enforcement actions including criminal investigations and prosecutions.
- Interpreting the laws and regulations of a broad range of Federal, state, and local agencies, relating to the admissibility of people, cargo, and conveyances; and coordinating with port operations stakeholders, other DHS components, and other federal agencies
