SUMMARY:

The Sanitation Supervisor will work collaboratively with the Sr Supervisor and or Sanitation Manager. The Sanitation Supervisor directs and supervises the cleaning of the plant production equipment and facility to meet food safety requirements as required by federal state and local regulations and by USDA/FDA to meet customer quality and safety standards. Ensures employees follow Company policies and procedures. Ensures sanitation quality and department efficiencies are maintained at or above standards. Supports the commitment and continual improvement to Food Safety and Quality prog rams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Day-to-day sanitation of equipment and facility, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work

• Conducting performance appraisals

• Rewarding and disciplining employees

• Addressing complaints and resolving problems

• Develops and documents cleaning procedures i.e., SSOPs cleaning logs etc.

• Train and document all sanitation workers for the safe operation and disassembly of equipment

• Ensure compliance with all safety rules and standards including the proper use of personal protective equipment

• Ensure food safety and quality control specifications are met

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures

• Work closely with management and chemical suppliers on chemical and process changes to improve sanitation results and reduce costs

• Protect product during sanitation

• Supervise motivate and train sanitation production workers

• Coordinate with Maintenance on any set-up machinery equipment to ensure that quality productivity and Food Safety issues are met

• Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Experience: 2 plus years of manufacturing experience in the food industry; Food industry sanitation experience preferred. HACCP certification preferred 2 plus years in a similar role preferred

Supervisory skills: this position is responsible for supervising sanitation lead(s) and a team of hourly team members.

Communication Skills: Able to read and interpret documents such as MSDS Safety rules and procedure manuals. Able to write report and compute rate ratio and percent when preparing cleaning chemicals.

Computer Skills: Able to efficiently utilize a personal computer outfitted with Microsoft Office software including Word Excel and Outlook

Summary:

Examine and inspect carcasses post-mortem during the harvest process.  Inspecting carcasses on a moving conveyor line to determine whether carcasses are wholesome and not adulterated.  Identification and inspection of the carcasses includes the head, tail, tongue, thymus gland and all viscera of each animal harvested.        

• Performing physical and visual inspections of product.

• Conducting inspection and verifying condition of various organs, lymph nodes, complete cervical visceral and rail inspection of all carcasses harvested.

• Addressing issues arising around the inspection of product in accordance with regulations, guidelines and training.

• Assisting with post-mortem inspection and maintaining all associated parts for veterinary disposition.

• All other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements:

Education/Certifications: Prefer High School Graduate or equivalent. College or technical school a plus.

Experience:  Minimum of 1-year experience in the Fresh Meats industry preferred or other QA type experience or relevant education.

• Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
• Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.

Requirements:

• Education and Experience: At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience OR 1 year of industrial maintenance experience education (e.g., possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience.
  • Applicants will be considered for Associate Refrigeration Technicians, General Refrigeration Technicians, and Sr Refrigeration Technicians level openings.
  • Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.

Special Skills:

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
• Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent overhead work.
• Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
• Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.

Management Level:

SUMMARY:

This position requires performance of all the electrical functions to include troubleshooting and repair; providing technical support for all phases of the operation; proficiency in multiple skill clusters including a thorough understanding of electrical controls fluid power mechanical systems and manufacturing processes as well as electrical control panels transformers electrical power distribution systems motors and motor control devices. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. This position is responsible for food safety food quality and legality.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Training beyond high school including either an associate degree in electronic technology or closely related technical field preferred or a combination of education and experience which may include skilled trade programs military training or other training as applicable.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Controls experience required.

Computer Skills: Competent in Windows based software such as Outlook Excel and Word; strong skills in document organization and using document templates and creating simple queries. Must be proficient or become proficient in SAP Plant Maintenance.

Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate both verbally and written with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.; high level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Certification: This position requires a valid electricians license as required by state or local regulations.

Special Skills: Good safety and attendance record along with strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated skills in the area of AC DC circuits industrial electrical systems.; experience in electrical safety and lock out tag out processes and procedures; knowledge in the theory and application of electronic devices such as industrial semi-conductors solid state drives and industrial control systems; experience in the operation of PLC systems and control and data collection instrumentation and transducers; working knowledge and skills in tools and components used in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems such as bearings gears clutches belts and seals; ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems. Electrical construction experience. Ability to oversee/ manage electrical projects such as writing scopes, NEC Standards and keep up and maintain Tyson Standards. Background in instrumentation. 

Preferred Skills: Possession of one or more of the skills is a plus - Basic Microcomputer skills necessary to understand the operation and interfacing characteristics of microprocessors; experience in PLC operation to include basic system configuration and hardware relay equivalent instructions timers counters data manipulation data communications and advanced programming commands as well as interfacing troubleshooting and application and program development; demonstrated skills or training in electronic motor drive technologies including servo- motors encoders tachometers electronic and mechanical brakes and clutches closed loop systems DC servo AC variable frequency AC servo and stepper systems.

Travel: Minimum of 1-5 trips per year outside of assigned location.
