Job purpose:
An exciting opportunity to gain broad experience across a range of Trade Finance and Cash Management areas. Develop a skill set as a foundation for a Transaction Banking career. Depending on business requirements, and candidate performance during rotations / projects in these 3 areas:
(i) Strategy and Business Management
Support the Head of Trade Finance and Cash Management Singapore in the development, implementation and controlling of the business strategy for Singapore.
Develop a view of the business, and an understanding of market, client, and regulatory trends.
(ii) Sales
Support of Sales Specialists in the overall communication with the customer and stakeholders within the organisation.
Assistance to Sales Specialists in preparation of client meetings by compiling internet research on customer and information from internal systems e.g., prepare Terms & Conditions, presentations / pitch decks.
Support in customer meetings, producing minutes and helping with any follow-up.
Independent organization and support in preparation of internal and external events and meetings.
Support the Head in planning, strategizing, implementation, execution, and reporting tasks.
Key activities:
Sales
- Supporting the sales team within the sales process, e.g., research and compilation of market, competitor, and potential analysis as well as product information (in complex cases).
- Independently solving of customer requests in taking the bank’s economical requirements, rules and regulations as well as compliance related tasks into consideration.
- Coordination of customer appointments with existing and potential corporate customers upon request of the sales team.
- Supporting marketing initiatives and customer events together with the sales team.
- Assisting the sales team in processing trade finance and cash management transactions for customers.
- Monitor clients’ business and operations at all levels on a timely and ongoing basis to ensure business opportunities are followed up and for thorough credit and financial crime risk monitoring.
- Uploading, maintaining and finalizing pipeline inputs and acknowledging market trends.
Formal education:
- Recent graduates with not more than 1 year of professional work experience (excluding internships)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance/Social Science with GPA 3.5/5 & 3.2/4.
- Proof of other adequate qualification
