Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Monitor day-to-day operation for application, database, server, storage, network devices and connectivity.
- Assist in facilitating/escorting external vendors for repairs tickets or installation of servers.
- Provide proactive capacity monitoring via monitoring tools, perform clean-up, report or escalation when required.
- Manage, follow up and resolve cases as per company's internal case logging system.
- Perform Level 1 troubleshooting by following the procedures/guidance given.
- Manage and follow up the escalation to level 2 support, principal or service provider for any incident or problem beyond the support scope.
- Physically check and verify physical assets to make sure assets are in good condition.
- Understand the requirements of 24x7 on-site support.
- Ensure facility regulations and safety policies are enforced before external personnel enter Data Center room.
- Perform ad hoc jobs for urgent requests.
- Compile reports for monthly tickets (incident, problem and request).
- Monitor and report the company capacity status.
- Provide a clean work environment by ensuring the facility is clean.
- Executing daily walkthroughs of IT equipment and MEP equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- At least 1-2 years of large-scale Data Center on-site operating experience
- Strong technical understanding of Data Centers, operational excellence and a willingness to innovate in a constantly evolving environment.
