A Part and Prep Professional will ensure that we are driving a clean and damaged free part mold to drive excellent quality to our Parts. This is an essential position to production to create the unsinkable legend!
Position Overview
Working in part and prep, you will be responsible for prepping molds which includes cleaning the molds using the proper materials. Once the molds are formed you will be responsible for parting the molds and ensuring that there is no damage that occurs in this process. You will need to know how to operate a fork truck as well and overhead cranes. Keeping the area clean and free of debris is essential to keeps the molds free of debris.
Physical Requirements
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements could include safety glasses, hard hats, full face respirators, dust masks, gloves, and chemical resistant suits
- Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching
- Moderate lifting ability up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (may be above 100 ambient degrees or below 10 ambient degrees in areas of production)
- Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast paced, noisy environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Must follow all safety and quality standards at all times, including chemical handling standards and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Must be able to operate all equipment associated with job functions.
- Must use judgment when moving molds.
- Must complete classroom and on the job training.
- Use judgment in performing process requirements to meet established deadlines.
- Must be able to detect mold defects.
- Must keep tools in good working order.
- Basic skills in forklift, overhead hoist, and computer skills preferred
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions
- Ability to work with fellow coworkers in close proximity and in a team environment displaying mutual respect
- Ability to fluently speak, read, understand, and write English
- High school diploma or GED required

Shifts:
We have multiple shifts to fit a variety of availability which include:
4 – 10 hr a day work weeks
5 – 8 hr a day work weeks
Donut Shift – Monday, Tuesday 10 hr days Wednesday off, Thursday, Friday 10 hr days
