What You’ll Bring

POSITION SUMMARY:    Perform duties required to assemble or modify electromechanical equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assemble parts or unit & attach unit to assembly, subassembly, or frame, using hand tools and power tools.
• Prepare wireway, junction boxes, and enclosures using drills, saws, and punches.
• Inspect, test, and adjust completed unit to ensure that unit meets specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Prepare wire harnesses from bulk spools.
• Connect electrical wiring according to circuit diagram.
• Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.

As Machine Assembler, you will be responsible for performing duties required for the preparation, sub-assembly and construction of company-produced electromechanical equipment. Senior-level shop/field role that requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience.  May require a technical or vocational education.  Works under limited supervision; provides assistance and training to lower level employees and problems are typically not routine and require analysis to understand 

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions

• Assemble complex sections of machines to customer specifications; attach unit to assembly, subassembly or frame using various hand and power tools

• Perform complex mechanical assembly operations to exacting tolerances; position and align parts using fixtures, jigs and templates; work with rotating shafts, gear trains, mechanical structures, and sprockets.  Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-face bolt holes in parts; file, lap and buff parts to fit; clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies

• Use measuring instruments to level and align work, detect and eliminate run-out, work to close tolerances with a demand for square, concentricity and parallelism.

• Assemble complex electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using rivets, bolts, and soldering equipment

• Label, wire and connect switch boxes and control panel terminal boards from basic wiring diagrams.  Check wiring for proper coding and termination; check for shorts, grounds, and continuity.

• Detect defective material, unusual conditions or operating difficulties; provide necessary documentation to drive corrective actions

• Collaborate with other departments to remedy corrective actions or quality issues and to suggest design changes or improvements

• Assist as necessary to maintain proper flow of work through assigned area; participate in training less experienced associates

• Complete necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements.

• Assist in generating and updating standard work instructions/procedures; train others on proper procedures

• Actively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues.

• Lead, guide, coach or mentor less experienced team members; be a positive role model for the team

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Liaise with and global IBP (SI&OP) leader and support FP&A impacts from Demand / Supply shifts
• Be the primary person responsible for the creation and commentary for all annual, monthly, and ad hoc financial presentations to key stakeholders including Senior, Platform, Division, and Local leadership. This includes budget, step change review, and KPI presentations.
• Lead and drive weekly EBITDA Pulse process including cross-functional collaboration and presentation up through BW CFO
