Job Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring a secure environment by monitoring the safety and security of the premises (Factory, office, and hostels), employees, and visitors. This role involves guiding and controlling the outsourcing security guard, patrolling the property, monitoring workers’ movement, and responding to security incidents and emergencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire security management system
- To ensure the outsourcing security guards’ attendance record, and working hours comply with the company policy, and the outsourced guards' working permit validity.
- Oversee and manage the stakeholder's access control to ensure only authorized personnel can enter specific areas of the workplace. This includes managing key cards, biometric systems, and visitor logs.
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety department to carry out Emergency Response activates
- To provide guidance and training to the outsourced security guard on emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, including fires, natural disasters, and security breaches, not limited to conducting drills.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, providing assistance and coordination as needed.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in managing access control, including verifying the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in any related field.
- Proven experience in a security role, preferably from a manufacturing background.
- Strong observational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency with security systems and technology.
- Physically fit.
