What you’ll do as an On-Site Representative/Fleet Supervisor: 

The On-Site Representative is responsible for providing quality transport and distribution services to the customer whilst maximising the profitability and productivity of the business. You will also coordinate the operations of the distribution fleet, operating out of the customers premises, and coordinate the sortation and preparation of stock to be forwarded. You will act as the key contact point for the delivery partners, customer, and their stakeholders for customer service or operational queries.

Typical duties responsibilities may also include (but not limited to):

• Ensure all deliveries presented by the customer each day are allocated to suitable vehicles
• Ensure the freight is presented to the drivers in required locations and check for damages
• Work closely with customer staff to develop efficiencies, meet KPI’s and improve the customer relationship
• Communicate allocation plans to stakeholders where required
• Coordinate backup vehicles where required

What are we looking for in an On-Site Representative/Fleet Supervisor? What’s important? 

• 2+ years experience in a similar role (as described above). You may also have had experience as a Fleet Supervisor and/or allocator, very transferrable skill-sets for this position
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work in a fast-paced/pressurised environment
• Exceptional delegation skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• A ‘continuous improvement’ mindset, with great attention to detail

This role will see you responsible for developing, managing and implementing the end-to-end bid writing and submission process. • Lead bid responses ensuring high quality, professional tender responses that are delivered on time, are customer focused and comply with TGE policies and address the customer specifications and objectives.

• Monitoring of bid content and processes to ensure consistently high standard tender responses are presented to the marketplace. • Tertiary/T.A.F.E: Mechanical Engineering Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Engineering –Mechanical Trade.

• Driver’s Licence

• Minimum 2 years’ experience post-apprenticeship.

• Possess basic computer literacy skills.

About the Role

Team Global Express is currently seeking an experienced Dockhand with a LF Forklift Licence (advantageous), to commence immediately at our Cardiff location.  This is a Permanent Full Time Position, working Sunday to Thursday from 11PM-7AM.
