The primary purpose of this position is to direct the development, coordination, and implementation of procedural changes; to direct the performance of management analysis and compliance for the activities under the jurisdiction of the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander; direct the squadron readiness and training programs, and to direct resource management and systems management in support of unit mission. Position is responsible for the management, direction, and supervision of employees.

Maintains LOGMOD-B and the Logistics Detail (LOGDET) data, assists in designing logistics packages to meet Operation Plans (OPLAN) tasking, and coordinates with tasked units to ensure compliance and accuracy of systems. Assist with the management and production of AALPS products. Provides continuous guidance and instruction to units on COMPES, Logistic Detail-Base Level (LOGDET-B) data and Manpower/ Personnel Module-Base Level (MANPER-B) matters. Coordinates both LOGMOD-B and MANPER-B portions of COMPES for input and processing. Produces COMPES data to support wartime activities and Operations Other Than War (OOTW) required by units to mobilize and deploy equipment and personnel.

Formulates and consolidates logistical annexes for IDS guidance based on regulations, manuals, instructions, and directives issued by higher headquarters. During peacetime and at actual and training deployments, provides staff input and participation in the Deployment Control Center (DCC). Plans and develops deployment training for the wing and units in addition to conducting training. Ensures the unit meets all pre-execution and command and control requirements for deployments. Analyzes time phased force deployment requirements to develop plan annexes and schedules for inclusion in execution phase of the wing deployment guidance. As directed by, and in conjunction with higher-graded employees, assists units by providing guidance and performing staff assistance visits to identify, correct, and assist with deployment oriented problems. Reviews deployment assessment capabilities with unit commanders to ensure that required deployment training is being conducted. Plans and briefs logistics personnel regarding the movement of personnel and equipment during simulated and actual deployments and exercises.

At the direction of, and in conjunction with the logistics staff, identifies required deployment/redeployment support with the wing staff, serving as the NCOIC of the Redeployment Assistance Team (RAT), Air Mobility Command (AMC), and Air Combat Command (ACC) for the transportation of equipment and personnel. Determines the type and number of aircraft required for mission deployment/ redeployment. Validates load plans, priority shipments, and customs clearance requirements. Ensures all unit personnel and equipment are properly identified and prepared for deployment/ redeployment. Assists the Logistics Officer with determining the type and number or quantity of troops and equipment available for tasking and schedules via correspondence with headquarters (i.e., ACC, AMC, NGB, ANGRC, and Numbered Air Forces), as applicable to accomplish specific mission requirements.

Reviews resource/logistics plans, programs, and deployment activities with the senior officer to ensure authorized mobility equipment is available or on order, and assures that the equipment is properly budgeted. In conjunction with the senior officer, develops program priorities and determines dollar requirements. As directed, develops load-plans and analyzes transportation requirements for the wing and units. Schedules all requirements through transportation activities to ensure personnel and equipment arrive according to planned tasking.

Reviews OPLANS, Concept Plans (CONPLANS), Concept of Operations (CONOP), USAF Special Operation Plans, Exercise Plans, and Execution Orders for tasking from higher headquarters. Determines availability of personnel and equipment for tasking and manages the War Reserve Material (WRM) assets at home station and deployed locations for units. Analyzes and identifies tasking for logistical shortfalls, limiting factors (LIMFACs) and problems; and compiles and submits to the senior officer for inclusion in the formal supportability/feasibility studies that allows commanders to make vital decisions that affect mission accomplishment. Formulates and prepares logistics annexes and consolidates inputs from all attached units in accordance with all-applicable regulations and directives.

Analyzes In-Garrison Expeditionary Site Plans (IGESP) and participates in site surveys to ascertain, identify, and plan airlift and logistical support requirement needs to support and sustain the wing and units.

Actively supports the commander's leadership team in addressing the psychological health of their installation. Provides strategic planning and leadership to implement an ANG comprehensive psychological health strategic plan. Assist leadership in understanding the interface between psychological health and operational readiness, and the role of the DPH in developing and helping leadership apply psychological health solutions to functional/operational problems. Encourage and coach unit leadership to actively promote psychological health and help-seeking as part of the wingman culture at the wing. Consult with leadership on workplace issues identified by unit leadership, (e.g., unit cohesiveness, conflict in the unit, unit stressors, etc).Conduct annual training for unit leadership on psychological health issues and the ANGPHP. Serves as the Air National Guard community liaison with military and non-military agencies to promote timely information exchange, coordinate collaborative prevention efforts, and establish and maintain an extensive array of resources, associations, and community partnerships. Participates in community activities to incorporate complex strategies that enhance community strengths, reduces broad-based community needs, implements community problem solving methods, and forges community connections so as to promote psychologically healthy lifestyles.

Conducts assessments, routine and crisis evaluations, psycho-diagnostic assessments, provides short-term, evidence-based problem resolution strategies and services. Provides on-site and telephonic access to psychological health assessments and individual consultation to facilitate coordination of clinical, counseling, and other services promoting the psychological health of NG members and their families. The DPH will conduct command-directed evaluations (CDEs). CDEs are governed by DODD 6490.1, DODI 6490.4, AFI 44-109, and AFI 44-172. Applies professional knowledge of the principles, theories, procedures, and practices of social work to conduct needs assessments and/or intake evaluations on a limited but routine and emergency basis in accordance with applicable USAF and DoD guidelines. As a Theater Aerospace Operations Command and Control Specialist, GS-2101-11, you will administer refresher and advance training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists. Instruct and evaluate AOC assigned technician personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC weapons systems of record. Instruct and evaluate enlisted AOC specialties to become instructors. Instruct same to function within established joint doctrinal principles to support the planning and prosecution of theater level joint operations. Monitor progress during training and advise when AOC personnel are ready for positional certification. As a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC LEADER, WL-2610-13, you will perform the following duties:

1. Leads a team (minimum of three mechanics) and works beside others performing Electronic Integrated Systems maintenance duties. Performs in-process inspections within the shop and on-site of repair, diagnostics, modification, overhaul and/or rebuild of integrated electronic systems and related support equipment. Performs personnel training evaluations and spot checks work. Determines whether quality standards are met by detailed inspection of electronic, electrical, mechanical and operational inspections methods. Investigates causes of critical or major defects and assures corrective actions are taken. Assures that all test and measuring equipment used in the integrated maintenance process is properly calibrated and meets required configuration. Advises Aerospace Engineering personnel on the operation and maintenance effects of proposed Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) modifications on new or existing equipment. Interacts directly with aircrews for mission/sortie debrief and enhanced system troubleshooting. Responsible for final classification and acceptance of all equipment/material inspected. Assures that all required modification work orders have been applied and necessary records updated.

2. Directs on-equipment or off-equipment maintenance on one or more complete electronic integrated systems associated with the assigned aircraft, and/or maintenance on automatic flight control systems, instrument systems, inertial and radar navigation systems. Provides task oversight for employees in the accomplishment of work by the Electronics Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-13 trades and labor craftsmen. Develops and prepares a variety of correspondence and other documentation, i.e., formal memorandums, point papers, metrics, feasibility studies, staff summary packages, briefings, charts, bullet background papers, etc. Formulates and presents final analysis and recommendations for improvements and procedures to Group/unit Commanders.

Participates in special studies and projects relating to planning, coordinating, and analyzing the effectiveness/efficiency of the Group CSS in meeting Air Force Administration program goals. Assists managers in strategic planning and in identifying immediate and long-range program/training and technology needs. Communicates needs to the manager, becomes the advocate to secure resources. Develops agendas and presentations and evaluates results through cross feed and follow-up methods.

Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Health Technician (Title 32) (Indefinite), GS-0640-08, you will perform the following duties:

1. Develops plans, procedures, goals and objectives in support of the Aerospace Medicine and Force Health Management Programs using an extensive knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD), Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), United States Air Force (USAF) and Air National Guard (ANG) directives, policies and standards. Programs include physical examinations and standards, flight medicine and related aero medical and force health management concerns. Interprets directives and applies standards to determine worldwide deployability of personnel. Advises and makes recommendations to senior officials on force health issues related to physical exams, standards and flight medicine activities to ensure compliance. Determines requirements, requests funding and administers accounts for procurement of supplies, equipment, and medical assessment in support of the physical exam process, flight medicine activities and related programs.
2. Implements and maintains the information management systems utilized for aerospace medicine and force health protection programs. Systems include preventive health assessment (PHA) and individual medical readiness (PIMR), Aero medical Information Management Waiver Tracking System (AIMWTS), Physical Exam Processing Program (PEPP), Grounding Management Information System (GMIS) and other related programs. Compiles and completes various special and recurring reports utilizing these systems. Functions as the health systems program administrator. Identifies, develops and implements training programs which support mission essential aerospace medicine and force health management requirements.
3. Administers the Physical Examinations and Standards (PES) program and serves as a medical expert on related issues. Develops procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of the PES program and implements processes to ensure individual medical readiness and deployability. Reviews and resolves concerns or conflicts made by the member, supervisor, and/or commander. Identifies reports, formulates and recommends solutions to command personnel for resolution of compliance and delinquency trends and patterns which could negatively impact medical readiness. Addresses complex medical issues with members, supervisors, commanders, state staff, and higher headquarters. Identifies and analyzes abnormal findings through research using medical references and professional consultations. Using established guidelines, advises member of findings, determines additional requirements and refers to medical professionals as needed. Edits, reviews and validates physical examinations to determine qualifications for initial or continued military service. Conducts paraprofessional evaluations (an in-depth screening or interview for the purpose of gathering data for the healthcare provider) and interprets results.
4. Manages the Reserve Component Periodic Health Assessment (RCPHA) program. Reviews military unique individual readiness requirements. Identifies documents and ensures member is notified of abnormal laboratory or diagnostic results. Tracks PIMR and reports noncompliance information to leadership. Provides training for unit RCPHA monitors.
5. Acts as the Medical Group customer service expert. Addresses complex issues using independent judgment. Provides technical medical assistance to medical inquiries and responds to inquiry by researching, compiling information, generating response and providing information through written correspondence, telephone, electronic or in-person response.
6. Monitors the medical status of military personnel. Identifies and profiles personnel with medical conditions impacting duty performance or assignment restriction. Reviews and validates profiles disqualified for worldwide duty. Notifies and advises commanders, supervisors and unit deployment managers when a member's medical/dental condition or duty restriction affects deployable status.
7. Determines the need for and initiates Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) actions for duty related medical conditions. Coordinates, prepares and/or processes MEB with active duty facility. Serves as the primary local interface with the Military Personnel Flight (MPF) for MEB/Physical Evaluation Board (PEB) process, issues, and concerns. Advises individuals and commanders on appropriate procedures and responsibilities. Coordinates with military and civilian providers for required medical tests, studies and medical evaluation board proceedings. Uses applicable medical references to code medical conditions and treatments; consolidates medical information and forwards to higher headquarters as required.
8. Other duties as assigned.

As a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (TITLE 32) with the Texas Air National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Repairs, adjust, overhauls, performs major repairs, and maintenance on military and commercial designed heavy mobile equipment and special purpose vehicles. Inspects repairs, overhauls and tests major systems including gasoline, diesel, electric powered hybrid, multi-fuel, turbine, and other types of internal combustion engines, which may be turbo-charged or blower assisted, automatic or manual transmissions, including those with power take offs, cross-drive transmissions, hydraulic, electric, pneumatic systems and controls, fluid pumping systems, turrets, winches and four wheel steering systems. Systematically analyzes malfunctions and the cause of mechanical failure by means of visual and auditory checks, uses computer-controlled test equipment, engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and pressure gauges in order to determine the exact nature of extent of repairs or adjustments necessary to complete work. Use specialized diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems in complex state-of-the-art electric and electronic systems to identify and replace defective components such as computer control modules, sensors, solenoids, digitized components, and circuits. Develop or improvise methods, alter parts, and make repairs in the absence of technical guidelines. Modify parts to fit, or improvises modifications to equipment to correct recurring malfunctions. Makes design modifications to meet special requirements, make adjustment or performs tests. Removes, disassembles overhauls, modifies, adjusts, and repairs, engines, transmissions, or sub-assemblies in accordance with the proper procedures and specifications. Reassembles engines, transmissions, and sub-assemblies, makes adjustments, tests and reinstalls in vehicles and equipment. Determines serviceability by operational driving test.
• Performs body repair and corrosion control, refinishes and repaints surfaces as required. Repairs and/or replaces body parts, locks, glass, etc. and determines if additional repairs are required. Repairs may be accomplished by using welding equipment, power tools, hand tools and other specialized equipment. Cleans, tests, and repairs radiators/oil coolers and associated parts. Test, services, and repairs vehicle air conditioning systems following manufacturers and environmental guidelines. Replaces or repairs tires, tubes and balances wheel assemblies.
• Prepares, maintains and submits applicable maintenance work orders for man-hour and data collection accounting, to include completing forms to reflect work performed or delayed and parts and maintenance required. Assists in establishing and maintaining adequate shop stock, special levels parts, and appropriate shop support equipment and tools. Inspect, maintains, and operates all appropriate shop equipment. Researches and assists in requisitioning materials, parts and equipment necessary to perform the vehicle maintenance/management mission. Assists in review and updating maintenance technical orders, shop operating instructions, commercial publications, MAJCOM and local publications, as well as other pertinent directives. Provides expert support to the Customer Service Center to various unit members.
• Participates as OJT Instructor in the vehicle maintenance area. Conducts instructional classes on methods and procedures of operation and maintenance concerning all aspects of vehicle repairs and assigned shop maintenance support equipment. Evaluates effectiveness of instruction, documents and maintains individual /section training and qualification records.
• Assists in conducting the local occupational safety and health training program, to include compliance with directives and procedures for proper disposal of hazardous waste products within the functional area. Fully comprehends and complies with federal, state and local environmental laws and the requirements in Air Force Occupational, Safety and Health Standard (AFOSHSTD).
