• Serves as technical lead responsible for all systems engineering activities required for the assigned mission and/or the design, development, production, test, and support of assigned systems.

• Serves as management consultant on aircraft production process, equipment, tooling and their subsystem design, operations, modification, and replacement.
• Accomplishes research and investigations to determine appropriate Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) techniques for any aircraft structure, engine and their subcomponents.
• Works with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed NDI equipment and tooling programs/projects.

• Accurately performs inspections, evaluate, and assess status of various composites, metal substrates, low infrared reflective applications and other special coatings.
• Identifies, and mixes various array of special coating materials ranging from low infrared reflective needs primer, elastomeric corrosion inhibitor, epoxy, fluid resistant fuel cell primer, and other polyurethane paints ranging from flat to high gloss, enamels, lacquers, elastomers, varnishes, shellacs, soil barrier compound, anti-corrosive inhibitors, other bituminous coatings as polyurethane/polyamides.
• Applies coating methods and techniques to ensure a high-quality decorative appearance, maintain a
  protective barrier for structural substrates, meets specific thicknesses for various applied compounds.
• Determines areas of the aircraft to be repaired and other discrepancies as to protect the integrity of
  aircraft(s) surfaces, assemblies, and their components.
• Performs seam sealing operations in interior of aircraft wheel wells including exterior surfaces, chemical stripping assemblies/parts, propeller tips on engines, and applying pre-coating agents or conversion coating, prep, sand, buff and/or repair honeycomb panels.

• Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
• Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
• Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
• Prepares recurring and special reports.
• Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials.

• As part of an Integrated Acquisition Team for an installation, or for development or sustainment of a system or smaller multiple systems within an installation, Direct Reporting Unit (DRU), Field Operating Agency (FOA), specialized unit, etc., plans the overall approach to meet contracting program objectives for a variety of requirements with multiple complexities.
• Procure complex and/or diversified services, commodities, and/or construction. Researches, interprets, analyzes, and applies all regulations, business and industry practices, market trends, Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Comptroller General decisions, public law, case law, and precedents.

Executes work in accordance with policies and regulations. May be required to transport children in government vehicles.
