PRIMARY PURPOSE: To serve as Logistics Manager for the Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) with responsibility for analyzing logistics contingency readiness programs and plans, providing advice and assistance to the Squadron Commander, and long-term planning for the squadron capability to support base readiness. Also serves as supervisor over Quality Assurance, Functional Systems Management, Resource Management and Squadron Training offices.

DUTIES:

1. Plans, organizes and oversees the activities of the LRS and provides advice and assistance to the squadron leadership on business processes and performance/efficiency of the squadron.
2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
3. As the squadron senior technical advisor on logistics readiness and Aerospace Expeditionary Forces (AEF) issues, performs/leads studies, and provides technical advice and assistance on development and implementation of readiness mission capabilities associated with: critical cargo and passenger movement, supply chain management, equipment and vehicles, vehicle maintenance, warehousing, deployment/reception and deliberate planning and operations, global fuels and cryogenics, Quality Assurance and plans, programs, resource agreement, policies and procedures.
4. Represents the installation for wing/squadron logistics readiness issues at higher management-level meetings within the organization and at conferences with MAJCOM, HQ USAF, DOD, and other agencies.

1. Serves as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues.
2. Performs budget formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates and financial plans.
3. Performs budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds.
4. Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information and conducts analyses, reviews and special studies of budget and/or related information.
5. Uses budgetary and other automated system(s) and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting/funding assignments.

• As the recognized installation technical authority in Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), advises on CPI implementation and sustainment.
• Serves as the project leader responsible for leading complex projects, often cutting across organizational/activity lines.
• Serves as a trainer for introductory methods/tools, also known as "Green Belt" (GB) courses.
• Represents the installation at a variety of functional area organizations.

Duties
1. This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.
2. Performs hazard and risk assessment techniques in completing initial incident analysis. Surveys the incident to identify materials involved, determines whether hazardous materials have been released, evaluates surrounding conditions; and predicting the likely behavior of a material and/or container.
3.Performs crash-rescue and firefighting duties involving air traffic or support operations where hazardous conditions are such that the expectancy for fire is high and potential for becoming destructive is great.
4.Performs structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities, which may include large multistoried buildings, industrial areas, and/or base storage facilities. Performs rescue of personnel and a variety of first aid measures to alleviate further injury and prepare the victim(s) for transport to a medical facility.
5.Maintains firefighting equipment and fire station facilities. Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

• Uses audio-visual technology to create productions ranging from news features, public service announcements and interactive productions, to training and informational videos on virtually any topic.

1. This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19. Leads a crew of three or more firefighters, including at least one firefighter (GS-07 or military equivalent) assigned to man a major piece of motorized firefighting equipment such as a pumper, aerial ladder truck, or Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle in firefighting and rescue operations.

2. Directs firefighting crew in the operation of firefighting vehicles and equipment.

3. Directs assigned crew in the performance of crash/rescue and firefighting duties at airfields handling complex (e.g., bombers, cargo, and passenger) aircraft; the performance of structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities which may include research and/or large industrial complexes; and the performance of hazardous material (HAZMAT) containment and control and/or Basic Life Support duties.

• Provides support to management in planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the Force Support Squadron (FSS). Manages goals and objectives that integrate organizational and flight objectives. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements.
• Represents the Force Support Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other base organizations, senior leadership, representatives from other military services, Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, and other related civilian organizations regarding services provided.
• Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments to include long-term planning, functional/technical advice and guidance, and continuity of management. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals.
• Administers the personnel security program for the unit and assists security managers in implementing security education programs. Establishes procedures for processing requests for security clearances for civilian personnel.

• Plans, Reviews, and manages total support requirements for new courses, course revisions, and future training projects, overseeing and coordinating planning, scoping, development, design, tracking construction timelines and direction of various projects for assigned units (e.g., personnel, equipment, facilities, budget, and other resource requirements) for a specialty area which includes several courses.
• Prepares, documents, and reviews the technical and economic data to support the acquisition of instructional systems, devices, facilities, and services.
• Participates in; system acquisition of all trainers, simulators, training aids, and collection of technical data to identify and develop alternatives to resources/requirements problems.
• As an appointed Contract Officer's Representative (COR), evaluates the planning, scheduling, controlling and executing actions performed by the contractor. Analyzes contractor compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.
• Participates in the Special Warfare Training Group Support Agreements Program. Work in conjunction with the Support Agreements Manager, acting as the Functional Area Agreement Coordinator IAW AFI 25- 201.
