Travel with main field service technician to local customers to perform the following work:

Key Responsibilities

• Support the operating business in NAM/LAM with business intelligence regarding market, competition and customer (inkl. Stakeholder analysis) – and convey strategy concepts into business actions/roadmaps – inkl. tracking and reporting

• Develop and conduct best practice analysis for critical business processes, share it within the region and lead the implementation of optimization improvements

• Drive Sales pipeline (in CRM) and define actions and conclusions for business

The Senior Customer Service Representative will support our Heating and Refrigeration Technologies division in North America. The role will be hybrid after the training period in which the schedule will be 2 days WFH and 3 days on-site. The duties of the Senior Customer Service Rep are listed as the following:

• ​Manage incoming customer requests, including parts clarification and request routing to the proper personnel (Includes Shared Inbox Customer Handling)

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Inspect, repair, test, and optimize / tune Powder Packaging Equipment and Freeze Drying Equipment
• Install, Mechanically and Electrically new Powder Packaging Equipment and Freeze Drying Equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and problems in order to repair Powder Packaging Equipment and Freeze Drying Equipment
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, Vision Systems, Communication issues and problems in order to repair Powder Packaging Machinery.
• Write clear and thorough inspection reports and field service reports for internal and external use.
• Recommend available upgrades and optimizations on Powder Packaging Machinery and Freeze Drying Equipment
• Install upgrades both mechanical, automation, and combination upgrades independently and/or in a team setting.
• Provide accurate estimates of labor times to complete service visits / rebuilds, and installations, commissioning, and training for new equipment and retrofits.
• Provide technical training to customers for proper operation, preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance, and emergency / breakdown troubleshooting and service.
• Assist the CoC with development of new products and upgrades.
• Initiate recommendations for improved tools, procedures, etc for the service operations.
• Provide support to internal stakeholders with questions regarding parts requests, quoting, selling upgrades, etc.
• Travel within North America, USA and Canada majority of the time, but also ability to travel internationally for training and service interventions.
• Detail oriented.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Travel up to 80%.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Automated Packing Machinery and / or Automation / Controls Certificate or equivalent.
• 10+ years of hands on experience in a packaging equipment installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and Automation and Controls position.
• Experience writing and modifying PLC code in Rockwell as well as creating and modifying HMI screens.
• Proficient with hand tools for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated powder packaging equipment.
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience wiring 3 phase motors, 120vac power / communication, and 24vdc communication.
• Experience with wiring and troubleshooting network communication such as Ethernet, Device Net, etc
• Fluent in English both verbally and written.
• Strong automation and mechanical background required.
• Ability to read and understand instruction manuals, assembly drawings, PLC and HMI code, troubleshoot software, electrical, and mechanical problems.
• Self-starter / works with little direction or instruction.
• Ability to work in groups, and independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Ability read electrical and pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Actively prepare proposals for smaller scale projects (service projects) including rebuilding service and field service visits.
• Occasional responsibility for order entry into ERP system, project management, execution, and invoicing
• Maintain potential Service Orders on Hotlist and appropriate CRM database
• Participate in the negotiation of offers, quotations, and contracts (customer T&C’s)
• Provides market feedback (competition, trends, etc.) to Director of Service
• Assists customer/user in plant system problem solving. 
• Participate in the preparation of annual service departmental budget and capital appropriation.
• Interfaces with vendors, customers/users on situations requiring supervisory decision making.
• Apprises management of trends in equipment performance or reliability and solutions to warranty situations.
• Reviews time sheets, service tickets, and expense reports prior to submitting to York, PA.
• Initiates and manages service orders and service agreements.
• Manage schedule of service work.
• Provide training, coaching, development, and motivation. 
• Identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities. 
• Aids in the collection of delinquent accounts.
• Supervises rebuild technicians.
• Reviews inspection reports and compressor modification sheets.
• Assists in compressor research and development.
• Assists customer/user in problem solving via phone conversations.
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or other related field. 
• At least three years of experience in industrial refrigeration. 
• At least three years of experience in sales and business development.
• At least five years of leadership experience. 
• Experience with remote field service management strongly considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Detail orientated.
• Good managerial and supervisory abilities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strategically minded.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Schedules and maintains field service schedule for his/her assigned branch
• Prepares accurate cost estimates and proposals for field service work, labor and/or parts.
• Manages SLA contracts for his/her assigned branch.
• Manages service calls, and SLA contracts in ERP system, from set up, scheduling, maintenance, and invoicing.
• Orders parts, and coordinates delivery to align with service visits.
• Collaborates with internal and external customers, various CoC’s, and BU’s, as necessary.
• Approves field service staff timesheets in ERP / FSM system.
• Ensures field service and audit reports are completed and filed in proper location.
• Communicates to field service staff upcoming visits, expectation on days, times, work to be performed, etc, prior to field service staff travelling to site.
• Detail oriented.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel overseas, valid passport.
• Travel up to 20%.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Business / Management and/or Engineering, and/or accounting Degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a role of coordination of service work.  Scheduling, estimating, invoicing / billing, etc.
• Fluent in English both verbally and written.
• Strong communication skills written and verbal.
• Self-starter / works with little direction or instruction.
• Ability to work in groups, and independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages a plus.
• Highly organized and flexible with changing schedules.
