Job Description:

We’re looking for a Warehouse Worker

Position Location: Fort Erie, Ontario

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for receiving, stowing, order picking, packaging of aircraft components, hardware, consumables, and other related materials.  Warehouse Worker is also responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, reviewing, preparing and completing documents in accordance with AS9100 QMS, TCCA, and Airbus requirements.  The Warehouse Worker is also required to use various powered/non powered materials handling equipment.  The Warehouse Worker will also be required to perform “on call duties” on a rotation schedule.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Order Picking 

• Locate and pick parts or material from identified storage locations specified on TO, ensuring FIFO.  

• Review and verify part number and count against pick order.

• Open packaging as required to verify and confirm serial number/ lot number.  

• Put incoming parts and materials in designated storage locations, maintaining accuracy with system data.  

• Use SAP ERP system and RF scanner to aid in picking and resolving any discrepancies.  

• Maintain inventory integrity (lot# quantity, FIFO and pick location).

• Conduct cycle count/Inventory count   on as needed basis.   

• Skin board kits for stock and assemble marketplace kits as needed

• Ensure orders are packaged appropriately for delivery and supplied with traceability documentations.  

• Ensure all orders are labeled and identified properly to the order.  

• Run monthly Timex report, quarantine Timex product and scrap out following the procedure

Receiving 

• Receive delivery from vendor making sure to inspect each package to ensure correct number of packages and their condition. Confirm shipment belongs to AHCA.

• Open package and remove parts and paperwork to ensure they have part number, value, expiry date, and serial number and validate all certifications and documentations prior to receiving into SAP as per procedure.  

• Maintain and update the incoming RMA’s in SAP and send info to the appropriate department via email

• Issue parts to open Sales order or open Work order as per AHCA Policies and Instruction and AHCA Quality Program Procedures

• Load and unload trucks as required

Education 

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Operations - Materials/Inventory Management or related discipline

• High School Diploma 

Minimum Requirements 

• Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast paced environment 

• Effective communication (written and oral) and organizational skills

• Ability to work and think independently and under general supervision

• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines – sense of urgency and customer satisfaction

• Ability to lift and bend repetitively

• Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, paperwork and all other aspects of the position

• Warehouse experience picking/packing/receiving of orders/shipments considered an asset

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and G Suite 

• Bilingualism (French-English) an asset

• Experience with SAP considered an asset

• Must be able to work 10:30 am to 7:00 pm every 4 weeks

Job Description:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Control Responsibilities 

• Provide weekly KPIs and priorities for every Inspector on Manufacturing ( Intermediate and Final) and Receiving Inspections based on the Dispatch list. 

• Ensure the weekly KPIs are met and take corrective actions to address any anomalies.

• Managing any backlog with OT as needed.

• Proactively identifying risks in the department to the attention of the Head of Quality.

• Creation, approval and revision of Inspection Documents.

• Ensure all Inspectors are adequately trained on Inspection Documents.

• Ensure the validations of all First Article Inspections (FAIs) for all new / modified parts / products / kits manufactured by AHCA.

• Supervise the creation and revision of Quality Assurance documentation (Delivery Documents, PVL, Demande d’ Accord).

• Initiate NCs with Inspectors in a timely manner and manage containment of identified NCs.

• Lead and support Cost of Non Quality KPIs by proactively engaging in timely Root Cause and Corrective Actions, Implementation of Curative and Corrective Actions and Improvement Workshops.

• Ensure calibrated equipment assigned to QA are managed and returned for calibration on time.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities 

• Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering and AHCA Engineering for the satisfactory disposition of NCR’s.

• Support role in authoring of Technical Notes and other planned deviations or Standard Repair documentation.

• Support the review and ensure that processes are compliant to specifications for composite part manufacturing. 

• Support all Manufacturing Technicians in coaching them on the Inspection Acceptance Criteria.

• Ensure tooling definition delivers expected part quality level, participate in the review of new tooling definition and documentation, conduct tooling conformity inspection and recurrent inspection

• Participate in the validation and selection of materials, advise on part makeup (lay-up, bonding, surface protection) and cure cycles.

• Participate as needed for Design Change Requests affecting composite manufacturing.

• Provide oversight and feedback for AHCA generated manufacturing instructions to ensure compliance to engineering drawings.

• Participate in the review, bid process of manufacturing work packages and interpretation of drawings, material specifications, manufacturing processes, etc., during the setup for new manufacturing.

• Support Manufacturing Inspection related Internal and External Audit findings by identifying effective process based root causes and corrective actions.

• Identifying opportunities to mitigate risks related to Human Factors.

• Supporting all Objectives pertinent to Aviation Safety, Operational Health & Safety and Environmental Safety.

• Conduct performance reviews for all inspectors and maintain their time cards including vacation requests and sick day approvals.

Identify and Implement Process Improvements

• Identify relevant Quality Assurance Manufacturing Inspection training needs/opportunities

• Proactively identify Manufacturing inspection risks and propose improvements to mitigate them.

• Advocate and champion decisions based on data and support all Cost of Non Quality KPIs.

• Advocate decisions based on identification of clear and objective requirements in Quality. 

• Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization 

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS

• College Diploma or equivalent in work experience & technical training 

• 5 years’ experience in composite component manufacturing environments, preferably in aerospace.

• 5 years’ experience in the Quality Assurance field

• 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity considered an asset

• Accurate, clear and timely completion of tasks necessary to develop aeronautical products.

• Strong initiative and motivation necessary to work independently and in a team environment to drive development to achieve the highest standard of quality.

• Ability to learn, understand and follow departmental and company procedures.

• Ability to bring the context of long term strategic objectives and goals and apply them to day to day activities and decisions making.

• Sound understanding of Quality Systems.

• High level of understanding of the composite manufacturing and repair processes necessary to implement necessary controls and support all associated departments. Also assist in the production and improvements of components, analysis of processes and repairs to work in process.

• Good understanding of CAD system, (CATIA V5 basics)

• High level of understanding of AH material and process specifications

• Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports on Manufacturing Quality to customers (Airbus Helicopter) and Management

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources Guidance & Strategy

• Lead, communicate, and ensure full span of legally sound human resources programs, policies and practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee engagement

• Provide leadership within the HR / Payroll departments which are in the interest of the Company and its Employees in accordance with all Airbus Helicopter policies, and ensure all company policies are in line with government laws and employment legislation 

• Support the Director, Human Resources, Environment, Health & Safety when managing organizational change where it relates to core human resources activities 

• Support the Director, Human Resources, Environment, Health & Safety with input into talent management, succession planning, employee and executive/leadership development plans

• Support Managers on HR matters

• Maintain an effective level of human resources knowledge and theory; as well as business literacy about the AHCA’s financial position, mid-range plans, work environment and competition 

• Provide advice and support to line management in organization structure development, employee problem and conflict resolution. Monitor administration to standards, identify opportunities and resolve discrepancies

• Point of contact for managers on employee relations matters. Provide guidance and support by assisting managers/ employees with employee relations issues and concerns

• Develop and implement HR policies, ensuring compatibility with company culture and compliant with legislation

• Educate managers on return to work processes, oversee disability management processes

• Manage & recommend AHCA’s benefits & pension plan

Internal Stakeholders

• Identify internal customer needs, communicate needs and develop solutions within the Human Resources team

• Proactively seek regular feedback for internal customers and ensure the Human Resources department acts on it

• Ensure Human Resources visibility throughout the organization

• Maintain good relationship with all staff and proceed on a regular basis with formal and informal meetings to get feedback, to measure the engagement and the social atmosphere, and to flow down the HR vision and appropriate solution

• Liaise with the Director, Human Resources, Environment, Health & Safety on regular basis and escalate priority items accordingly

• Participation with workforce planning and hourly rate in all areas

Talent Acquisition

• Promote HR as a business partner and advise management on human resource-related issues including performance management, talent acquisition and retention, talent review and succession, employee development and total rewards

• Accountable for the Cost Center’s talent acquisition and development process.  Monitor for effectiveness and approve recommendations for development and terminations  

• Target top talent through a variety of sources including creation of job descriptions, social networking, creating job postings, screening resumes and candidates, in person interviews, administering screening tests, presenting candidates to hiring managers, maintaining and developing an efficient recruitment process, reference checking

• Identify and prioritize company wide training needs in conjunction with management members, compliant with Airbus Helicopters Canada strategy and tracking all training costs, ensuring costs are within allotted budget. Evaluate impact and success of training programs

• Lead and provide guidance to managers on all activities related to Performance Management (Salary Reviews, People review, etc.)

• Manage and coordinate the annual interview/Mid-Year Review process and lead the people review in collaboration with management members. In this regard, identify key positions to construct effective succession planning and monitor well defined career paths in reaching succession plan objectives

Team Management

• Promote a “speak up” culture

• Ensure all Human Resources staffing skills are current and up to date

• Monitor and ensure the Human Resources team delivers on commitments, on time and on quality.

• Manage EH&S, HR & Payroll team

• Support with management of the budget and other financial measures of the Human Resources department

• Foster H&S culture and rule through the definition and the management of communication campaigns 

• Foster health and safety mind-set in the workplace and knowledge of health and safety requirements 

• Annual goal setting & performance management for all team members 

EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS

• College Diploma in Human Resources Management

• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP/CHRL) designation

• 7 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role 

• Previous experience managing a team and working in a manufacturing environment is preferred

• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

• Ability to maintain the security and confidentiality of specified records, and employee sensitive information

• Extensive working knowledge of Human Resources, employment practices, principles and employment legislation 

• Proven ability to support, contribute and communicate AHCA’s top business objectives while ensuring employee relations are adhered to 

• Strong attention to Detail

• Advanced problem solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
