What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

This role will act as a subject matter expert & lead  in the OTC Pricing & Rebates areas in an SAP environment consisting of ECC and S4 systems.

This role requires close working relationships with senior business and IT leadership, implementation partners, Enterprise Architecture and the PMO office and will focus on the end-to-end SAP solution delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 10+ years hands-on, expert level experience in large scale ERP programs, leading solution implementation in SAP OTC , Pricing , Vistex preferred.
• Experience in handling complex large scale implementations while leading solution design , implementation , deployment and hyper-care preferred.
• Clear understanding and extensive hands-on experience in SAP OTC processes with a specialization in Pricing.
• Configuration experience with Condition tables, Condition types, Access sequences, Pricing procedures, Condition records and Pricing routines.
• Knowledge of OTC-FI and Vistex-FI integration is a plus.
• Understanding and Experience in Vistex Chargebacks, Billbacks, Agreements and Memberships, Data Objects is desirable
• Configuration experience with Vistex Composite and Transactional IP architecture with complex Calculation Runs & Buckets is desirable
• Experience in systems integration of SAP to non-SAP systems (EDI, Middleware tools, APIGEE SDFC etc.) preferred.
• Experience with working on various integrations to SAP such as IDocs, EDI (850, 855, 810 ,832, 844, 845, 849, 867) preferred.
• Knowledge in ABAP debugging is a plus.
• Experience working within a S4/HANA environment is a differentiator.
• Experience with in S/4 Condition Contracts, Settlement management a plus.
• Understanding of how SAP interacts with SLT , HANA Models , Attunity and Big Query a plus.
• Experience interacting with Senior business leaders and leading blueprinting sessions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of SAP ECC & SAP S4 to build , advise and support business functions.
• Lead complex design decisions, perform fit/gap analysis , adhere to SAP best practices and collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Act as a SME for the Pricing function with the larger SAP Center of Excellence team.
• Provide advice and direction to teams solving technical challenges.
• Participate and lead effort estimation for new functionality asks and liaison with various business partners to help drive business cases.
• Interact with VP level business leaders to help navigate complex system processes.
• Closely follows strategic direction set by the segment and executes on priority goals.

Anticipated salary range: $ 119,800 - $171,100.00

Application Development and Maintenance is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company's business objectives.

• Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
• Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
• Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
• Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.

Job Summary

LRCGQ IT enables technology solutions for the Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Quality teams at Cardinal Health. The Enterprise electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) will be a SaaS configured solution to manage complaints, non-conformances, investigations, corrective actions, audits, change control, document management and supplier quality management. It will be used across both Medical and Pharmaceutical segments and will include integrations with applications in both the Medical and Pharmaceutical segments for Master Data and Analytics.  This role will focus on the implementation of these processes in the new eQMS platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate an eQMS implementation for multiple business processes.
• Work directly with the subject matter experts and consultants from the implementation vendor.
• Act as a Functional Lead responsible to manage the scope and deliverables for each process stream leveraging software development lifecycle methodologies.
• Conduct the requirements elicitation process and ensure solution delivery meets business requirements while leveraging existing solution capabilities wherever possible. 
• Accountable for validating the new eQMS processes by working closely with software validation quality and business teams.
• Maintain relationships with Quality and Regulatory business process leads and user groups.
• Build relationships and the governance model to work with the application vendor.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading cross functional teams and IT projects preferred.
• Prior experience working in an FDA validated environment supporting quality is preferred.
• Prior experience working with a SaaS provider is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 8+ years experience in related field preferred.
• Ability to define work processes and lead team members in successful implementation and ongoing execution preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills preferred.
• Desire to learn how to configure new SaaS eQMS application preferred.

Department Overview

The role resides within our SAP Center of Excellence (CoE).  The SAP CoE aims to provide business and application expertise to support Cardinal Health’s global and/or domestic SAP platforms, by designing new processes, optimizing current ones, managing complex implementation projects, providing user support, and training, and keeping the complex SAP system landscape up and running. In addition, the CoE will help optimize the use of all SAP products implemented in a cost-effective manner, contributing to the overall organization’s success. Responsibilities

The scope of this role is to provide subject matter expertise as part of the Largescale SAP Projects organization within Cardinal Health’s SAP Center of Excellence.

Leading the delivery of SAP Solution based on phase of largescale SAP project.

• Responsible for leading SAP Project deliverables like Functional Specifications, Configurations, Data conversions, Cutover planning, and execution etc

• Responsible for the functional design, configuration, and validation of the SAP solutions supporting SAP OTC/PTP/ SCE Business Processes.

• Analyze and document as-is processes and systems, determine gaps and define to-be processes and systems.

• Lead the blueprint workshops and conduct sessions with business to gather requirements/Fit Gap Analysis.

• Responsible for architecting, designing, building, and deploying SAP business applications in OTC, RTR, PTP & RNI Business process areas.

• Provide assessment of solution options with associated business and technology impact, along with estimates for delivery

• Complies and enforce adoption of Solution Manager, Charm Management, JIRA, and other standard tools.

• Identify gaps between requirements and current solution and develop options and estimates for closing the gaps.

• Effectively communicate with IT partners and business stakeholders

• Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to manage the execution of Software Delivery deliverables.

• Provide functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction to stakeholders.

• Have an enterprise perspective and help others to understand broad implications of decision making.

• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communications, presentation skills, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills to deliver solutions.

• Ability to convert technical/functional specifications into test scenarios and test scripts preferred.

• Ability to perform configuration, debugging and enhancement design for solutions preferred.

• Understands SAP best-practices, business processes, operational procedures, and the relationships between SAP SD- MM, MM-LE, MM -FI and SAP – Non-SAP systems preferred.

• S4 HANA certification preferred

• Strong integration skills with SAP modules SD, MM, FI and with external ERP systems like Vertex, EDI etc preferred.

• Familiarity with SDLC processes such as Agile, Waterfall etc preferred.
