The Sr Quality Engineer has responsibility for applying/interpreting the applicable Quality Systems, developing/implementing Standard Operating Procedures and Quality policies. Develops and fosters an inclusive working relationship across all job functions that support the Media/IDAST plants. This role provides guidance for the various elements of the Quality System, for example, to ensure process control, consistent manufacturing practices and identifies/recommends opportunities for continuous improvement (internal/external). Moderate level of application of the appropriate statistical

tools to analyze data, identify root cause and corrective actions for effective problem resolution.

Is also responsible for assuring departmental compliance with ISO and FDA requirements through supporting internal and external audits, participation on teams, assigned to lead or support projects, product launches and process improvements, and coordination and resolution of CAPAs. Deploy the use of statistical technique/tools such as: Statistical sampling, SPC, Six sigma, root cause analysis techniques.

In this role the primary responsibilities include:

• The role will have primary responsibility for supplier management for 250 Schilling, 39L and IDAST.

  • Monitoring and trending quality indicators for purchased materials as well as manufactured and distributed components/products.

  • Initiates SCARs for supplier issues

  • Initiates and/or supports CAPAs and may lead the investigation/corrective action process related to supplier or internal concerns.

  • Support and/or conduct supplier audits

• Assesses Critical To Quality (CTQ) parameters and risk assessment variables as part of the decision making processes to support predictable product design and flow.

• Responsible for aspects of Media/IDAST QM Engineering as well as the day to day QM Engineering responsibilities for assigned product and related operational areas. This includes but not limited to, product quality notifications, change notifications and customer complaints.

Experience/Education:

• Degree preferred in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or other related science/technology field.

• Minimum 3 years experience in Quality or Supplier Management or Engineering.

Desired knowledge, skill and ability include:

• Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

• Knowledge and understanding of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and International Organization for Standardization ISO 13485

• Ability and skill to effectively manage multiple tasks and drive execution of management plans

• Effective written and verbal communication skills that ensures clarity, accuracy and consideration

• of the audience

• Ability to listen to others; including associates, managers, peers and customers when making decisions and solving problems

• Knowledge of automated systems for filling and packaging are a plus.

Responsibilities:

Takes the lead in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Personal Care accounts in order to drive revenue across the complete portfolio. Has a “hunter mentality” to pursue opportunity within the assigned market, Works closely with end users and distribution in the assigned accounts to insure complete account control. Utilizes Marketing and sales resources to develop, implement and track all targeted programs both direct and through distribution, Is accountable for core media sales and capital equipment sales based on assigned budgets.  Is accountable for the financial performance at the revenue and profitability level of assigned accounts.

Works closely with other ISS, marketing, and management to adopt a system sell approach into large Pharmaceutical and Personal care accounts working with bench personnel to senior managers

This is a Field based, individual contributor position that requires the individual to be the Pharmaceutical,Biotech and Personal care market regulatory expert, having a complete knowledge of compendial methods and requirements along with  a complete understanding of how these regulations, methods and requirements impact this market segment from incoming raw material s to process validation and testing.

Requirements:

• BA / BS in Life Sciences, biological areas, business or related discipline.  Degree in Microbiology preferred.

• Minimum 3 years documented sales success (top 20%) in broad range laboratory products with minimum 1 year laboratory and / or multi-level selling experience preferred.

• A combination of pharmaceutical/medical device/Compounding Pharmacy manufacturing sales, food testing sales, or QC/QA or technical selling experience required.

• Capital equipment experience preferred.

• Prioritizes and initiates direct sales calls with distributors to protect existing sales and identify additional revenue opportunities.

• Forecasts activity and closes as required by management.

• Provides continuous support including post sales activities.

• Effectively communicate with the Service organization to coordinate a successful installation transitioning to the long term customer satisfaction of the product.

• Manages administrative duties as assigned: monitoring expenses to budget, timely administrative and call reporting, funnel and competitive data entries, new contracts and renewals, use and maintenance of Company assets and adhering to OHSA and Universal Lab precautions.

• Experience attaining or exceeding overall sales plan profitability, as well as, other assigned goals and objectives.

• Knowledge of selling process and the components to build / maintain customer loyalty.

• Preparation, presentation and closing skills to include direct sales, use of distribution channel and/or team selling approach.

BD’s IDEA Tempe Campus, located in Tempe, Arizona helps bring high-impact, new-to-world innovations into development. The Senior Engineer I will be part of a multi-disciplinary Innovation team supporting a variety of medical technologies and solutions.

Working with the leadership of BD’s Digital Engineering, 3D Printing & Prototyping team, this is a technical position where the engineer will contribute significantly to exciting, high visibility projects and collaborations across the BD R&D portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, planning and performing 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing solutions in support of complex technical problems. The skills for technological management, hands-on learning, and communication to both internal and external collaborators (e.g., partners) is required. A professional background in multiple 3D Printing and/or Additive Manufacturing systems and processes is required. The ideal candidate should have a hand on experience using modern CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks or other equivalent 3D modeling) and related software packages (e.g., Magics, Netfabb).  The candidate will understand and have hands on experience with 3D printing processes from the front end (e.g., print orientation, setup, printer operation), through the back-end (e.g., support removal, post processing, shipping), safe laboratory practices.  

The Senior Engineer I must be able to effectively collaborate with team members, local and remote, from varying backgrounds and seniority levels. They should have strong oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate will have a passion for 3D Printing with a drive to learn and grow.

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

• Provide leadership and technical support to local team members to advance 3D printing operations.

• Collaborate with multi-functional team members (e.g., BD partners, 3DP&P team members) both local and remote to provide solutions and advance projects.

• Apply in-depth knowledge of 3D printing technologies or systems to produce high quality, accurate 3D printed components.  Be the expert onsite on the ins and outs of each system and the related software in the 3D printing lab space.

• Operate a variety of 3D printers, i.e. – Stereolithography, Polyjet, extrusion, etc., and develop expertise in the use of the 3D printing technologies for medical product applications.

• Coordinate 3D printing activities to ensure prompt turnaround of job requests.

• Apply proven methods of post processing to maintain accuracy, aesthetics, biocompatibility, mechanical properties, etc.  Actively research and enhance these techniques when possible.

• Analyze system accuracy data, logs, etc. and develop measurement processes to continuously improve component accuracy.

Education and Experience:

• Required BS in Engineering, mathematics, metrology or equivalent plus 6 years relevant industry experience.  Engineering degree is preferred or;

• MS/Ph.D plus 4 years relevant industry experience or Ph.D. plus 2 years relevant industry experience

• Experience in 3D printing required: 5+years preferred

• Experience with CAD software required: 5+ years preferred

• Experience working in laboratory environment.

• Medical industry experience is preferred.

Job Overview:

As part of the North America Supply Chain organization, the Sr. Customer Order Management Specialist is responsible for coordinating the movement of shipments from the Distribution Center to BD affiliates. The position will interface with key stakeholders (regional business units, distribution operations, and business unit supply chain) and facilitate the efficient & timely flow of orders across the supply chain network by resolving discrepancies. The position will report to the Supervisor, Customer Order Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow established procedures, practices, and policies for functional units and the quality systems.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory business and department guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• Resolve sales order issues to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

• Work with distribution centers to support on-time delivery and other company key performance indicators.

• Meet or exceed established order accuracy and turn-around standards.

• Handle all customer contacts professionally and courteously. Compose accurate, prompt, and appropriate replies to all customer contacts.

• Maintain up-to-date, comprehensive knowledge of business unit and regional services and products through participation in training, meetings, coaching, and feedback sessions.

• Manage short-supply situations, backorders, and manual allocations as required.

• Input and manage orders for exception products requiring special handling.

• Ensure that all potentially serious incidents are raised to the appropriate levels of management.

• Ensure orders are accurate and released in alignment with service level agreements. Modify orders in the ERP systems, warehouse management and transit management systems per regional requirements.  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 1 year experience with ERP system(s). 

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (export, logistics, order management, customer service).

• Minimum of 2 years' prior experience in a related industry (i.e., medical device, healthcare supply chain, pharmaceutical).

Diagnostic Solutions Account Executive Job Description Summary

The Account Executive is responsible for selling and total account management activities for all products within the IDS Microbiology Product Portfolio in hospitals and reference labs within the assigned territory. 

Essential Duties

• Develops and implements a territory and strategic account sales plan involving multiple stakeholders and buyers in the growth of the assigned Microbiology products.  Leads the development of an account plan specific to each hospital’s economic business drivers. 

• Effectively deploys clinically relevant product features/benefits and economic justification using existing selling tools as well as creating new tools specific to each customer situation to define the value of our product offerings.  Coordinates all decision makers to arrive at a contractual purchase agreement for these products. 

• Responsible for maintaining and growing the base revenue stream and ensuring customer satisfaction through consistent and ongoing customer contact. 

• Works effectively with BD internal teams and customer facing associates as well as BD’s distribution partners to support the customer in growth and long-term retention activities.

• Attains or exceeds the overall sales plan and provide customer support for the IDS Microbiology product portfolio - Manual Microbiology, Blood Culture, TB, ID/AST.

• Recognized as the product expert for driving the growth of the BACTEC , MGIT and Phoenix products.

• Manages the sales process consisting of the clinical laboratory (micro, molecular, virology), infectious disease clinicians, and hospital administration (Laboratory Committee, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, IT, Senior Levels of Hospital Administration) in the assigned territory.

• Develops, documents, and drives the customer buying process through full utilization of a territory and strategic account sales plan involving multiple stakeholders and buyers in the growth of the assigned products. 

• Calls on prospective customers, creates demand, communicates medical, clinical, and patient outcome benefits, delivers product information and demonstrations, prepares proposals and quotes within company guidelines.

• Effectively demonstrates the soft and hard costs associated with the microbiology product portfolio by persuading multiple decision makers and influencers to orchestrate a successful product conversion within the institution.

• Develops and closes accounts within the assigned geographic territory using a coordinated team selling model (Product Specialists, Consumable Specialists, Lab Automation Specialists, National Accounts, Strategic Customer Group, Service Engineers, and Applications Specialists, Distribution Partners, Applications Specialist, Field Service, and Marketing).

Reporting to the Consolidations Senior Manager in the Corporate Controller’s Group, this Senior Consolidations Accountant is responsible for the consolidation and preparation of worldwide consolidated financial statements for all reporting cycles including monthly actuals, annual budget, quarterly projections, and the three year strategic plan.

Responsibilities and expectations include:

• Responsible for the consolidation and preparation of consolidated worldwide financial statements, which includes consolidation entries, account analyses and preparation of supporting schedules and financial calculations for all reporting cycles.

• Assist with the preparation of the BDX Balance Sheet and Income Statements.

• Receive widespread exposure to virtually all facets of the corporate reporting process.

• Provide support for the company’s Annual Report (financial statements, footnotes, financial summaries, graphs, MD&A, etc.) and SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Proxy).

• Interface with various levels of management, including the tax and treasury departments, discussing accounting issues and providing background information on transactions.

• Interface with External/Internal Auditors in planning and reviewing year-end and interim audit requirements to ensure all consolidated financial statements are in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

• Collaborate with the tax department on any legal entity restructuring activities (transfers, liquidations and mergers) and issue the appropriate US GAAP accounting guidance to impacted affiliates.

• Support and assist with business acquisition integration including providing accounting guidance and system reporting requirements.

• Prepare and manage the global corporate analysis related to consolidations and eliminations of intercompany inventory and gross profit eliminations.

• Provide assistance to regional and business finance colleagues as needed to ensure financial data is submitted accurately and timely.

• Identify and implement process improvements within the Corporate Controller’s Group.

• Serve as a super user for SAP (BPC).

• Perform special projects for management on an as needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

• B.S. degree in accounting or finance required.

• CPA Certification, or CPA candidates who have passed parts of their certification preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry with exposure to general accounting required and consolidation experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must possess a reasonably high level of accounting and analytical expertise. The ability to develop relationships with associates from other functions, businesses and regions will be essential in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.

• Experience with preparation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement a must.

• Candidate must have good interpersonal/ communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work both as a member of a team and independently to accomplish responsibilities. Strong multi-tasking abilities. Strong analytical skills for review and interpretation of data.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.

• SAP and BPC experience desired.

The TGS Senior Functional CRM Architect based in Franklin Lakes, NJ (Remote) will report to the TGS Senior Director, North America and work with North America, EMEA, LATAM and Greater Asia Regions as well as individual business units and select global functions to match business strategy and needs with TGS technical solutions.

This individual will serve as a primary point globally to  deliver a technology roadmap aligned with advancing the commercial agenda of BDX collaborating with internal and external experts to ensure that the business is proactively provided with strategic thought leadership and bring the appropriate technology, process and workplace solutions together as they contribute to the commercial agenda of BDX.

The TGS Senior Functional CRM Architect will deeply understand the solutions and capabilities represented within a large enterprise environment in key technologies such as but not limited to Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Reltio, Oracle  CPQ and Salesforce CRMA, Adobe Marketo integration. This role is a consultative partner for our internal team members, focusing on understanding their goals and strategies and mapping solutions to business outcomes.

The TGS Senior Functional CRM Architect is responsible for using their knowledge of software programs and business strategies to help enhance productivity and communication working in CRM “Product Model” structure, and with commercial business analysts and technical teams to advance the CRM product.
