Manage the retail supply chain, in the Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) and Marine Mart convenience stores within Marine Corps Community Services quality of life program aboard Marine Corps Installations worldwide. The Retail Supply Chain Branch Head (Director) reporting to the Chief Operating Officer at HQ Business and Support Services Division must be a strategic thinker to oversee and optimize the supply chain operations ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in supply chain operations, logistics, and distribution. This role is crucial for maintaining product availability while minimizing costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and customer service enhancement.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment processes at the Regional Distribution Centers to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating to ensure favorable terms and reliable service.
Logistics Coordination: Oversee logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to retail locations.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize advanced analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive data-informed decisions.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, financial planning, and store operations, to ensure alignment and support for supply chain activities.
