We are seeking a qualified and highly experienced Truck Driver to perform a range of tasks including drive heavy trucks, removal vans, tankers and tow trucks to transport bulky goods and liquids as detailed per product warranty guidelines, company policy, or Supervisor/Manager' instructions.
Position Overview:
As a truck driver at our site, you will be responsible for driving heavy trucks, removal of vans, tankers and driving tow trucks to transport bulky goods and liquids.
Key Responsibilities:
o Conduct pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
o Operate side tipper to transport material across the mine site.
o Navigate and manoeuvre the truck through soft and uneven terrain.
o Ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of materials in the mining block and at the stockpile site.
o Utilize the side tipping mechanism to unload materials accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications:
• Construction Industry White Card and ability to pass induction assessments. A “C Class” licence is critical, a HR or HC licence is preferable.
• 2 -3 years of experience operating side tippers or similar heavy equipment in a mining or construction environment is preferable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant transport laws and regulations
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work positively within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
