JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to maintain, troubleshoot, remove, repair, install, certify, test and perform operational checks on the turboprop engines, propellers, and associated propulsion system components.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Air National Guard. The major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Removes, installs, certifies, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and installs turboprop engines, reduction gear boxes, turbine modules, compressor modules, auxiliary power units, propellers and related propeller components as required.
• Modifies engines, propellers, auxiliary power units, and components in accordance with Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) directives; removes and installs engine quick change kits; prepares engines for installation and installs engine and propeller assemblies on aircraft.
• Performs operational checks of installed propellers, engines, auxiliary power units and sub-systems during aircraft maintenance ground runs in accordance with approved checklists.
• Performs isochronal and special evaluations on engines, propellers and auxiliary power units.
• Performs aircraft full power runs and complete engine and propeller efficiency checks.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work assignments are performed indoors and outdoors in inclement weather; on icy, wet, and slippery ramps, aircraft surfaces, work stands; and in extreme temperature and humidity. The incumbent is subject to dangers from toxic fumes, dust, dirt, grease, lubricants, paints, and solvents. Dangers also involve high-pressure air and fluids, and fast actuating metal aircraft surfaces such as landing gears, speed brakes, and flaps. Work assignments are subject to engine noise, heat blast, intake suction, rotating propellers, explosive munitions, electrical voltage, cartridge actuating devices, liquid oxygen, and flammable and explosive aircraft fuels, etc. There is frequent exposure to the possibility of cuts, burns, electrical shock, strains, and bone fractures.

JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to administer, schedule, and conduct flight and ground training which develops, upgrades, and evaluates the skills of loadmaster aircrew members; to perform aircrew duties as instructor loadmaster in the unit type aircraft and to perform related staff support duties; to train crewmembers in these duties.

The major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Develops and provides technical loadmaster upgrade and proficiency training/instruction to aircrew members.
• Accomplishes all requirements involved in mission planning and coordination.
• Accomplishes a wide variety of preflight, in flight and post flight duties required by the nature of the aircraft assigned and the aircraft's specialized mission.
• Develops evacuation procedures for aircrew and passengers.
• Administers no notice, pyramid and annual evaluations.

Gi Group are looking for class 2 drivers / HGV 2 drivers to be supplied to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for the Winter Services Gritting Season to start in October and end in April.

This is a part time role, 6 month contract role with vacancies at the Beverley depot.

Applicants must be able to reach this location within approximately 30 minutes and are urged to not apply if your commute time is greater than this.

We offer successful candidates an attractive remuneration package, and a 2 day fully paid training course is delivered to all new recruits.

This role will involve:
* Driving gritting vehicles (LGV Cat C / Class 2) to spread salt & brine on the road network of the
region
* Winter duties include loading the vehicle with road salt using a loading shovel, driving and
cleaning the vehicle
* Standby rota (paid) alternating with 2 weeks on and one week rest

Weekday Standby times
* Shift 1 - 16:00 to 00:00
* Shift 2 - 00:00 to 08:00
* Shift 3 - on rest
Weekend standby times
* Shift 1 - 12:00 to 00:00
* Shift 2 - 00:00 to 12:00
* Shift 3 - on rest

Standby payments are £16.50 per day Monday to Friday and £24.69 per day Saturday and Sunday.
If you are "called out" to grit the road, the payment for this is £110.17 (5 hour call out) or £132.21 (6 hour call out) on top of the daily standby payments.

Drivers will need:
* LGV Cat C (HGV Class 2) licence
* Digital Tachograph Card
* Full driver CPC
* No more than 6 points on their licence (for insurance purposes)
* No DD/DR endorsements (for insurance purposes)
* New drivers welcome

Full training is given to all new employees to ensure that you are suitably equipped to perform the duties.
