Contract Length: Initially 6 months
Location: Milton Keynes, MK9 – Hybrid working
We are seeking a Sourcing Manager who will be responsible for overseeing procurement competition management. The role will involve promoting best practices across all procurement processes while assisting in the management of project staff and coordinating with third-party legal and insurance advisors. Key responsibilities include active involvement in stakeholder management, tender negotiation phase planning, and delivery. The role will manage contract documentation delivery and assist with bid evaluations and governance input, ensuring compliance and successful outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep level of sourcing experience, specifically in corporate and professional services categories. A strong track record of delivering cost savings and efficiencies is essential. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of UCR 2016 and/or PCR 2015 regulations, with the ability to navigate these frameworks effectively.
Key accountabilities:
Develop and manage the sourcing process from business requirement to contract signature, on behalf of key customers and stakeholders, for multi-million pound medium cost and business risk opportunities.
Apply the Sourcing Framework for sourcing led opportunities where total annual spend ranges between £100m to £300m and within an public sector procurement environment, to manage all risk, governance, legislative and regulatory requirements.
Expert negotiator of sourcing enabled savings and benefit opportunities.
Develop and implement of sourcing specific ideas and innovation-based business cases, working in collaboration with relevant customers and stakeholders, to address existing business problems that require external sourcing specific market expertise to solve.
Facilitate the transition of Sourcing led execution to the Supplier Management team, to manage a seamless customer experience from business requirement through to post contract signature.
Demand manage and challenge customer and stakeholder common sourcing requirements to maximise overall group-wide commercial value.
Develop and manage sourcing aligned continuous improvement activities, demand pipeline assessments and annual customer satisfaction surveys, to deliver an enhanced customer experience, aligned to the vision and best in class procurement ambition.
Key requirements:
Deep level of Sourcing experience in corporate and professional services categories
Demonstrable track record of savings delivery
Deep understanding of UCR 2016 and/or PCR 2015
Demonstrable stakeholder management expertise
Demonstrable level of negotiation and dispute resolution skill set
Demonstrable experience of contract law and financial management
Demonstrable experience of driving value from complex sourcing opportunities
Experienced with agile cross-functional collaborative working methods
Politically savvy, with the proven ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies at an executive level
Demonstrable level of problem-solving experience of complex sourcing specific challenges
