The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) performing such duties as removing, installing, adjusting, aligning, inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components such as airframe, landing gear, power plant, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic, and flight control systems and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
Responsibilities:
1: Performs inspection and troubleshooting on a variety of aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components in accordance with applicable technical orders/commercial manuals (C40 only) and specifications.
2: Positions, maintains, disassembles, repairs, and reassembles aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components in accordance with applicable technical orders and specifications.
3: Accomplishes aircraft maintenance and equipment record keeping, both manual and automated, associated with aircraft maintenance and repair.
4: Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations, and maintains a safe and clean work area.
5: Verifies and certifies work processes and procedures and adequacy of work accomplished by certified co-workers and trainees.
