FLT Driver - Forklift Positions

Job&Talent are recruiting for experienced FLT (Man-up, Reach and VNA) operators in Millbrook, Southampton, we are looking for hard working and experienced FLT Operators to join our team, our client is ramping up for some new business opportunities and are looking for core team members to join the operation.

As a FLT Driver you will need to have:

• Previous FLT experience is required, licence/certificate is not mandatory, please be familiar with the type of FLT previously operated ( VNA, Reach , Man-up)
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing, fast past paced environment
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a team in a physically demanding environment
• A 'can do', right first time and passionate approach
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern
• Safety Shoes

Salary :

• Pay rate starts at £13.10 basic rate per hour
• Our client offers day 1 training suitable for all candidates and will conduct a Forklift drivers' assessment prior day 1 to assess experience
• We are currently looking for Full time positions, on the 2-week rotating shifts.
• Location: Millbrook, Southampton
• Hours of work: Rotating shifts Monday-Friday 0600-1400, 1400-2200 shifts rotate every 2 weeks.

Role of a FLT Operative:

• Safely operate a range of FLT vehicles to demands of the business in a busy industrial environment
• Accurately receive, pick, assemble and load customer orders within depot accuracy and speed targets,
• Contribute towards a clean and safe working environment, demonstrating concern to ensure that personal actions do not compromise the health and safety of self and/or colleagues at all times
• Handle customer stock with care and consideration to minimise damages and maximise customer service
• Adhere to instructions and guidelines regarding manual handling, the use of Mechanical Handling equipment, including pre-operational checks, reporting of defects, and the safe use and operation of all equipment.
• Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, stacking stock onto and off pallets in a safe and stable manner ready for transit.
• Full Training will be provided.

48hr week, some over time on Saturday paid at time and half.

You will need some muti drop experience. Around 24 drops per day. A client covers the whole of Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and across to Brighton. You must be physically fit as some of the container can be up to 20k. Full training will be given.

3 to 4 days you will have your own route the other days you will cover holiday and sickness.

Some Cashing handing will be involved so you must have good maths skills.

What we're looking for**

• Class 2 driving licence without any DR10 or IN10 (or equivalent) licence offence codes
• No more than six points on your driving licence
• Ideally experience in a multi drop, delivery or collection role, but not essential
• Full CPC card - but we can help you get up to date
• As the role can involve moving and carrying weights in excess of 20kgs, we will provide manual handling training and medical screening to the successful candidate.
