Halo Recruit are working in partnership with Currys to recruit for a number of experienced Warehouse Operatives / FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join their teams based out of Plymouth, Devon (PL7).
Duties of the Role:
- General warehousing duties, including order picking and packing
- Moving of stock around the warehouse using MHE such as PPTs, LLOPs and FLT Counterbalance
- Ensure stock is moved to right location using the appropriate methods available
- Use and recommend suitable packaging that are to agreed standards, whilst minimising waste
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness in parallel to the operation performed
- Load/Unload WEEE and keep area tidy in wet/dry environment
- Assist in all site processes including admin duties
- Ensure both site and vehicle key controls are in place and adhered to
Desirable Experience:
We are seeking candidates who have previous experience working in a similar role, and who are committed and reliable. This is a long-term opportunity, working on a fixed 5 on, 3 off rota (which will include weekends), therefore only candidates looking for a long-term, permanent position who can commit to this pattern should apply.
We are seeking candidates who have a good work ethic, a love for customer satisfaction and who are able and willing to handle heavy goods in a safe manner.
Candidates must also hold an in-date FLT Counterbalance licence and have previous experience in operating a FLT.
Shift Pattern:
The role is on an initial 'ad hoc' shift basis, until such time as you have have been fully signed off in the role. The Company offers a rota once sign off has been completed, providing them with consistent shifts. The shift pattern is a 5 on, 3 off shift rota. Therefore, candidates must be aware that some weekend working will be required. Only candidates able to commit to a 5 on, 3 off shift pattern should apply.
Hours of Work:
Shifts start at 7am and typically last between 8-10 hours, depending on routing, traffic, etc.
Rate of Pay:
This role pays £11.50 per hour, paid weekly in arrears.

Induction / Start Date:
We are seeking candidates who are available for an induction and to start work as soon as possible. Please only apply if you are able and willing to start work on rota immediately. The induction is paid, following completion of your first shift.
