HR SYSTEMS MANAGER
Location: Remote or Edinburgh/Hybrid
Salary: £50-55k + car allowance + bens
Extensive knowlede of the iTrent HR / Payroll system is essential
The role will lead an effective HR system and support service, and take responsibility for the development and management of the HR and Payroll system, ensuring that the system are used to their maximum potential to support business needs. The role will provide support, development, management, and maintenance of the iTrent system and you will act as a super user of iTrent, supporting the work of the HR team & the wider business through the collation, manipulation and interpretation of data when required
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the HR systems strategy in alignment with the organisation’s goals and HR objectives, articulating a clear roadmap and execution plan.
• Develop and manage data architectures and workflows for the HR systems.
• Lead the continuous improvement of HR systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organisation.
• Oversee the development of HR dashboards, metrics, and reports to support data-driven decision-making and ensure that HR data is leveraged effectively to provide insights into workforce trends and organisational performance.
• Configure and customise HR systems based on the organisation’s specific requirements collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HR system and resolve technical issues
• Liaise with software vendors to address complex technical issues. ensuring full oversight and management of defects in conjunction with external suppliers where required whist acting as a point of contact for key stakeholders.
• Analyse existing HR processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness through technology.
• Lead HR system upgrade, configurations and customisations from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
• Lead a team of HR Systems Analysts
• Lead on key internal stakeholder systems issues/enhancement providing expert consultative advice and guidance and ensuring all aspects of modules used by other teams are prioritised and reviewed regularly, ensuring any issues or failures are responded to and dealt with as a priority, including acting as the point of contact between the teams and suppliers.
• To ensure that user guides and training materials are complete, accurate, accessible and meet the needs of system users. To develop and maintain appropriate training mechanisms for users, including written guides, on-line and face to face training.
Experience required:
• Experience of managing information systems across the full HR and Payroll employee lifecycle, with in-depth knowledge of iTrent.
• Demonstrable experience of driving strategy for service delivery, system improvements and innovation aligning with business goals and objectives.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with Stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to listen to, interpret and explain requirements with technical and non-technical audience.
• Able to project manage and deliver key projects and initiatives, within timescales, with experience of leading change management and implementation of new system modules.
• People management, with ability to grow and develop skills within the team is advantageous
• Able to provide technical support, including researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
• Ability to oversee or carry out complex system changes and upgrades and lead in the review, testing and implementation of system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and other technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintain system tables, and document processes and results
