This is a temporary position within the driving industry, offering competitive pay rates ranging from £10.42 to £11.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently deliver goods and packages to various locations in and around Derby- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all deliveries, adhering to designated routes and schedules- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any issues or concerns- Load and unload vehicles with care, following all health and safety guidelines- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a professional manner- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption, utilizing relevant technology or paperwork- Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company policies to ensure a safe driving experience- Collaborate with team members, Fleet Managers, and Dispatchers to optimize delivery efficiency
Qualifications:- Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points- Proven experience as a Car/Van Driver and familiarity with the Derby area- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws- Strong communication and customer service skills- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and familiarity with routine inspections- Positive attitude, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional service
