• Represent the VALOR program and other VA senior leaders on logistic supply chain modernization related matters to Defense Health Agency (DHA) and external stakeholders to include task forces and committees.
• Assist with the development and support partnerships to address supply chain challenges.
• Identify and oversee needed supply chain projects for implementing systems participants in collaboration to support VA's logistics modernization efforts.
• Serve as a supply chain expert for the VA System Redesigns Program Management Office and provide a wide range of logistics management related tasks, which include identifying, analyzing, and developing supply chain management activities, and implementing new commercial business practices at VA facilities located worldwide.

Uses knowledge of NAS components, interdependencies, and potential for operational improvements,
executes key program/project activities such as requirements development and management, systems engineering, and investment analysis on one or more programs.

Applies experience with program and/or project management principles and processes, such as lifecycle and logistics management, financial planning, and risk management to facilitate the integration of automation, contractual, and procurement elements into major NAS programs. Applies project and program management principles to lead formulation of strategies, financial, business and planning deliverables and activities across the enterprise of system and capability solutions. Monitors and facilitates the establishment of programs and changes to program costs, schedules and scope through skill in Acquisition Management System principles.

Applies knowledge of NAS programs and Enterprise Architecture to analyze data and to identify and mitigate and support Risks, Issues and Opportunities (RIOs) implementation and integration across the enterprise and in leading multiple programs. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the lead Training Specialist and subject matter expert for all mission-critical accident investigative and technical training agencywide.

Duties performed:

• Developing a comprehensive curriculum for training accident investigators and technical support personnel to be implemented utilizing a variety of platforms (i.e. in-person, virtual, interactive multimedia, job aids, on-the-job training facilities, etc.).
• Serving as an instructional advisor on the development and implementation of training curricula for accident investigation professional and technical career development.
• Advising accident investigative subject matter experts on instructional methodology and best practices.

The major duties of this position are:

• Partnering with the General Counsel in directing the work of the Office, which includes sharing the responsibility for the overall Office management and the supervision and review of the work of the Office's attorneys and other staff. This work includes the most important legal determinations and business of the Board.
• Advising and assisting the Board with respect to legal matters concerning the duties, functions, and activities of the Board, the interpretation of federal laws applicable to or affecting the Board or its activities (including the Interstate Commerce Act), the preparation or review of rules, regulations, orders, and opinions, and other documents.
• Defending Board actions on judicial review through pleadings, motions, briefs, and oral arguments. Representing the Board's interest in other court matters, including government interest and Trails Act matters.
