Counterbalance Forklift Driver
Bedford, MK40 4LU.
Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm.
Contract Position: 2 Months but may lead to further work
The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food process industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installation along with planned and preventive maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join the company supporting a major project in Bedford, MK40 4LU.
Duties
As an experienced and suitably qualified counterbalance forklift driver you will be working within a Food production facility on a project to remove and re install process pipework and equipment. The primary duties will be to safely unload and distribute as necessary, all new process equipment delivered to site. Specific items will include high value pumps, motors, valve sets and one-off pieces of specialist equipment. Other duties will include assisting fitters with basic installation works, typically tightening bolts, painting pipework and installing pipework. Full training will be given for this aspect of the job.
About You
Based ideally in Bedford you will need to live within a commutable distance of MK40 4LU.
Demonstrable experience of operating a 3500Kg counterbalance forklift to distribute materials around site.
Minimum, RTITB B1 counterbalance forklift or equivalent.
