What you'll do...

Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).
Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.

Monitor and ensure area of responsibility's compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures and directives by developing, distributing, and/or maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
Identify and ensure associate, customer and supplier concerns are resolved, using own judgment or consulting others when needed.
Supervise and manage associates and leaders in area of responsibility by giving direction, monitoring performance and providing feedback; identifying training and development needs and providing opportunities for learning and growth; teaching, supporting and modeling Logistics and company policies and procedures; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders and managers.
Oversee the execution of QA guidelines, procedures, and programs by identifying ways to increase building efficiencies and maintain inventory integrity; and ensuring systems/processes are implemented for the corrective actions (slot profiling, inventory adjustments, cycle inventory tests, managing outside storage, damages and strays, tracking and reporting close date product, hazardous material processing).
Oversee the execution of systems operations by ensuring appropriate hardware and software maintenance, installation of new replacement or additional systems, necessary repairs are completed on existing systems, and development and troubleshooting involving the appropriate corporate partner (Information Systems Division, vendor, Logistics Regional and Divisional Systems Manager).

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnosing failures and making repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other various systems on a vehicle
• Discussing the nature of the difficulty with the driver(s)
• Using hydraulic jacks or hoist, to gain access to the underside of the unit and to aid in the removal or replacement of assemblies such as engines, transmissions, differentials, springs, etc. 
• Using electronic diagnostic tools and computer software to assist in the troubleshooting and repair of heavy duty trucks engine, braking, electrical, and cooling and exhaust systems 

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years maintenance experience 
• Maintenance lead person experience 
• Training in diagnostic software and computerized tools for troubleshooting 
• Electronic braking systems 
• Experience rebuilding, repairing & fabricating aluminum & steel components

What You Will Do:

We are seeking a consulting leader to drive growth in Guidehouse’s Energy Providers Practice through crafting, selling, and overseeing delivery of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and infrastructure resiliency opportunities to support our clients in navigating the evolving transition to a clean, distributed, and customer-centric energy system. You will lead in the identification and building of new, transformational offerings for our clients as they relate to energy system resilience. You will be responsible for identifying trends at the cutting edge of infrastructure resilience strategy, assisting with solution development, supporting associated business development activities, and managing the delivery of client engagements. You will collaborate with other Guidehouse teams and external alliance partners on activities and opportunities related to infrastructure resilience. Infrastructure resilience opportunities may include but are not limited to; assisting clients improve their restoration and reconstruction processes, evaluating extreme natural disasters as well as climate change physical risk, developing resilient investment/adaptation programs, supporting clients with cost recovery regulatory filing and stakeholder engagement, and implementing capital investment programs. You will lead opportunity pursuits, position and sell solutions, and deliver client engagements.

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop/expand long-term client relationships in the South and Mid-Atlantic region that will lead to repeat business and meeting and exceeding annual sales targets
• Collaborate with Account Directors, Solutions team, and other Delivery team members to sell, close, and deliver solutions and strategies related to infrastructure and energy system resilience, covering both electric and gas utilities
• Build deep trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders
• Incorporate a broader range of Guidehouse offerings into infrastructure opportunities within our Energy Provider clients.
• Lead the development (architecture and design) of infrastructure resilience solutions
• Support account planning, opportunity pursuits, and engagement delivery
• Identify, analyze, and support the development of infrastructure resilience solutions and engagements
• Apply knowledge of infrastructure planning, engineering, operations, and restoration to support the design of client deliverables
• Serve as a utility risk and infrastructure resiliency subject matter expert for client workshops, sales, and delivery
• Develop methodologies to assess the economic and financial impacts of climate change risk, and to implement resiliency programs
• Contribute to thought leadership that supports Guidehouse’s growth strategy and promotes the Guidehouse brand in the utility risk and infrastructure resiliency space
• Provide mentoring to junior level staff

What You Will Need:

• US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident status (due to the nature of client engagements)
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline
• 10+ years of professional work experience with utilities or utility consulting organizations (excluding internships, co-ops, and fellowships)
• Executive level utility/consulting Transmission & Distribution (T&D) experience with a deep background and understanding of infrastructure resiliency trends
• Demonstrable experience leading business development initiatives (writing proposals, identifying opportunities to expand the scope, and/or providing additional services)
• Demonstrable experience delivering operations process improvement, organizational assessments, technology assessments, and disaster response/infrastructure resilience engagements
• Demonstratable analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstratable verbal and written communication skills
• Superior interpersonal skills
• High degree of self-confidence and determination
• Demonstrable experience managing, coaching, and mentoring staff
• Proven track record managing complex projects and delivering high-quality outputs

Position Summary

Sorts and handles freight in and out of over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and straight trucks. Operates forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload freight.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in compliance with state, federal, and Department of Transportation regulations.
• Operates dock tools to ensure freight is loaded securely and properly, including maintaining straps, bars, air bags, cardboard, and dunnage.
• Loads, recoups, rewraps, and stacks freight as needed.
• Verifies shipments by reading labels and correctly securing freight for both loading and unloading trailers.
• Follows established bill and quality control procedures to ensure timely, claims-free, and cost-efficient shipments.
• Logs, reports, and processes any shortages and damages to freight.
• Promotes and maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack experience.
• Forklift certification or hazmat training.

• Diagnose and repair to specifications.
• Brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals. • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.

Job Description

DPR is currently looking for a Project Scheduler.  Scheduling will be of commercial projects within our core markets: Healthcare, Advanced Technology, Life Sciences, Higher Education and Corporate Office. Schedulers will work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Estimators and Regional Leadership teams and will be responsible for the following:

• Ability to grow capacity of team members on planning & scheduling best practices.
• Ability to motivate and build trust amongst project teams during planning sessions.
• Facilitate collaborative planning sessions with DPR project team, subcontractors, designers, and stakeholders to get input for sequencing, manpower and durations, as it relates to overall project milestones.
• Develop contract (baseline) schedule and maintain contract schedule updates with project teams.
• Help teams manage preconstruction planning, design development, bid / buy-out, long lead procurement items, construction sequences, startup, testing & commissioning.
• Support Resource loading, Crew logic, Cost loading, & Variance report as required.
• Coordinate with and include subcontractor schedule input and perspectives when applicable.
• Ability to integrate the schedule and BIM model using 4D tools is a plus.
• Provide risk management input on key schedule milestones.
• Alert entire project team, including owner, to potential problem areas or deviations from the plan.  Assist in development of recovery plans, mitigation options, or delay analysis.
• Create variance reports, graphics, and narratives to highlight issues or conflicts.
• Create visual references / diagrams / graphics using schedule data to further describe the project plan, current status, and upcoming scopes of work.
• Ability to help guide teams with vertical alignment between the P6 schedule and any outside form of detailed tracking such as procurement logs or level 4 & 5 commitment based construction tools.
• Understanding of CPM, LBMS and Takt scheduling theory, level of detail, and execution.
• Experience with Smartsheet is a plus.

Qualifications

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The successful candidate will possess:

• 3+ years of experience as a Scheduler, preferably within DPR’s Core Market projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent field experience.
• Oracle Primavera P6 experience.
• A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• A flexible, detailed-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work with diverse personalities & work styles, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.
