Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Review of master data in SAP, ensuring data integrity for purchase proposals. 
• Analysis that will will include the collection and verification of: MOQ (Min. Order Quantity), Product Leadtime and Testing/ Release time for the accuracy of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) in SAP.
• Other activities include working with planners on inventory movements and logistics activities. 
• Analytical skills are required for review and identification of expired/ short dating product to reduce the financial risk to Fresenius Kabi and ensure customer backorders are mitigated. 
• Additional responsibilities will include: Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) documents for more efficient procedures. 
• Lastly, any additional ad hoc reports or projects that will complement the skill set and contribute to the development of the Intern.

Requirements

• Intern candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.

• Enrolled in a 4 year college and pursuing a business related degree.
• Supply Chain or Data Analytics majors preferred.
• Ability to use Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Leidos is seeking Associate Distribution Designers to work in our Walled Lake, MI office.

Successful Distribution Designer candidates will have interest in developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards.  Distribution systems may be in an OH, UG, or URD environment.  Project work may include joint use make ready, and street light projects.  Work packages will be developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems. Project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include:  structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices.  Assignments may also include: preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, development of a BOM, estimating costs, and customer advocacy such as acquiring easements or calculating a customer Contribution in Aid of Construction (CIAC).  

Associate Distribution Designer Responsibilities:

• Design and construction work package development of electrical overhead and underground distribution systems (operating from 4kV through 138kV), mostly associated with programmatic work such as overloaded transformers, inspection and maintenance, joint use, and inspection reports.    
• Comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget.
• Field pole locations and take detailed notes on existing conditions. Fielding equipment to be provided and mileage is reimbursable.

Associate Distribution Designer Required Education & Experience:

• Level 1 - HS degree or Associates Degree with 1-3  years of prior relevant experience.  
• Level 2 – BS degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Level 3 – BS degree with 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.

Required for all levels:  

• Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Relevant knowledge in the power field / industry.
• Problem solving skills and resourcefulness.
• Experience in performing tasks based off a scope, schedule and budget.

Preferred experience for all levels:

• Background working with a utility performing design work.
• Familiarity with Pole Loading software ( O-Calc, SPIDA Calc, Pole Foreman) and SAP.
• Experience with projects in distribution design: using medium voltage switchgear, voltage conversion projects, distribution automation projects.
• Experience with development of civil & electrical packages associated with complex cable/conduit in dense urban environments.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PLS-CADD, MicroStation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus.

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
• Must have a minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment.
• A.S.E certification in at least one of A1-A8 is preferred. Will accept equivalent external qualifications or training certifications. (New Hires with external similar qualification/certification will have up to 2 years of employment to comply
