Assistant Manager, Overseas Business Partnerships role focuses on driving business growth and strengthening relationships with international freight forwarders. This position plays an important role in securing new business opportunities, nurturing existing partnerships, and expanding cross-trade and nomination businesses.

Responsibilities
- Agent/ Freight Forwarder Business Partnerships: Engage with overseas agents to identify and convert potential leads into confirmed business, contributing to expanding international trade lanes.
- Quotations Management: Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations to secure a high conversion rate, ensuring solutions align with the specific requirements of overseas partners.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with overseas freight forwarders to maintain existing business and drive repeat opportunities.
- Market Expansion: Proactively identify opportunities to grow cross-trade and nomination business by collaborating with overseas agents and pursuing new trade lanes.
- Tailored Solutions: Understand the unique needs of overseas partners and provide customised solutions that meet their logistics and freight requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse the success rate of quotations and sales efforts, using insights to optimise strategies for increased business wins.
- Operational Alignment: Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of confirmed shipments, meeting or exceeding agent expectations.
- Reporting and Communication: Maintain regular communication with overseas agents, providing shipment updates and ensuring transparency throughout the sales and logistics process.
- Support for Management: Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the broader objectives of the business.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics with a strong focus on overseas agents/ freight forwarders partner management and nomination business development.
- Proven track record in managing relationships with overseas agents or international freight forwarders.
- Strong business development and negotiation skills, with the ability to convert leads into confirmed business.
- Proficiency in preparing and managing quotations and ensuring high conversion rates.
- In-depth understanding of cross-trade and nomination business processes.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a focus on achieving measurable business results.
