You will be working for a world-leading manufacturing company who specialise in aerospace, defence, industrial and medical applications. The business is looking for an experienced and dynamic Site Supply Chain Manager to manage and develop the area on site near Gloucester.
Your new role
The Site Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the supply chain. You will ensure customer needs are met by coordinating and communicating with the wider organisation, including site operations, Quality and Engineering, to ensure on-time delivery of services.
The Site Supply Chain Manager will ensure proper upstream supplier integration (e.g. demand visibility, lean/flow materials management, managing & automation of procurement process) and be the coordinating interface between site operations, planning and logistics. This position represents Supply Chain for site leadership reviews, customer and process audits and assessments. You will be a member of the Site Leadership team.You will also be responsible for managing a team of purchasing professionals across areas such as indirect and new product introduction and be responsible for overseeing the processing of non-conforming purchased parts.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need over 5 years experience in a management position - preferably supply chain, aerospace and manufacturing. Strong leadership and people management skills are essential. Proven general capabilities, materials management, contracting and dealing with suppliers. This role requires someone with a dynamic and proactive approach to their work as well as being passionate about culture, company values and employee engagement. CIPS qualification is desirable.
What you'll get in return
This role offers a permanent contract alongside an annual salary of £65,000 - £80,000 DOE. The package also includes Bupa healthcare, 6% matched pension contribution, x8 life assurance policy, and 24/7 on site gym. This role will be on site Monday-Friday with flexibility around the hours. However, there is scope for occasionally working hybrid and potentially working a reduced work week.
