Job Description

1. Report to the Ship Repair Manager on all task and projects assigned to him.
2. Coordinate and oversee ship repair projects assigned from start to completion and ensure the efficient allocation of resources and completion of tasks within planned time frame.
3. Carry out Risk assessment on all repair jobs and mitigate all risk to ensure safe working environment
4. Collaborate with various team to develop detailed repair plans, including work scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements
5. Identify bottleneck and make contingency plan to alleviate any delay
6. Record all work done for the project and advise Ship Repair Manager of all works carried out including those additional and variation works.
7. Develop positive working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business
8. Complement Ship Repair Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for clients during ship repair projects, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or inquiries
9. Coordinate with client, procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of necessary materials and equipment for repair tasks
10. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce
11. Conduct daily VSCC and production meeting for ongoing repair projects
12. Any other duties as assigned by the Ship Repair Manager from time to time

Job Requirement

1. Bachelor Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture or Ship Science, or Equivalent;
2. Experience in ship repair management, preferably in a shipyard or maritime environment
3. Strong project management skills with proven track record of successfully executing ship repair projects on time and within budget
4. Good understanding of budgeting and reporting
5. Solid understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and best practices in ship repair
6. Proficient in MS Office
7. Proficient in using shipyard-specific software and project management tools
8. Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
