• Develops briefings at program level, tracks data/claims trends, improvements, and claims resolutions to identify areas of potential improvements and best practices.
• Utilizes various claims and transportation automated systems in order to resolve issues and answer claimants questions.
• Investigates and develops supporting evidence for loss and damage claims arising from storage and movement of personal property and makes recommendations for use in affixing responsibility and settlement of claims.
• Determines and advises customers on entitlements or procedures related to temporary storage of goods, weight allowances; prohibited items; and shipment of personal property including various methods available.
• Plans, books, and routes personal property, estimates cost savings, time involved, time of arrival, storage in transit involved, and purposes.
• Prepares and process various applications for transportation or storage of a wide range of personal property and privately owned vehicles, including special items, of authorized civilian and military members.
• Makes detailed cost comparisons to determine the best and most economical method of movement, and screens movement documents for correct accounting data.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing for accuracy and processing Beneficiary Travel claims for the purpose of reimbursing Veterans for travel to and from VA medical appointments
• Reviewing eligibility of each Veteran before finalizing Beneficiary Travel reimbursements
• Researching payments for reimbursement when requested by Veterans, Supervisor or the Mobility Manager and coordinating with the Fiscal office when required
• Preparing data processing reports and auditing Beneficiary Travel vouchers daily batch for errors
• Transferring Beneficiary Travel voucher daily batch to Fiscal office
• Compiling and submitting daily clerk report summarizing all vouchers processed, phone calls, and customer service interactions
• Arranging all modes of transportation via air ambulance, commercial air, taxi, ambulance, bus, and/or contracted transport services
• Preparing appropriate documentation and/or scheduling for traveler according to government rates or substantial rates
• Making special arrangements per physician documentation according to traveler's medical condition and/or preference with a high priority emphasis on organ transplant patients, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury patients
• Documenting and preparing statistical ambulance reports to supervisor upon request for fiscal year budget

• Control carrier deliveries of shipments to terminals, manage railcar movements, and documentation functions for cargo destined for locations outside the continental United States (CONUS).
• Receive shipment information from carriers, shippers, and Government agencies.
• Classify and rate a variety of commodities, determining commodity or class rate description, selects the proper classification and authority, and issue Government bill of lading/commercial bill of lading for a wide variety of overseas destinations
• Analyze a variety of computer-generated reports for accuracy to determine correction areas, causes of errors, inconsistencies and other data discrepancies.
• Provide administrative support to the Traffic/Cargo Management Division.

• Perform various tasks associated with the pass system.

Chairs joint FAA-industry meetings; maintains regular contact with organizations assigned; and coordinates with top management officials. Requires or directs correction of any deficiencies/discrepancies and refuses or withdraws approval if they cannot be resolved.

Develops maintenance program requirements through participation on Maintenance Review Boards. Coordinates Minimum Equipment List (MEL) approvals with the principal operations inspector. Takes enforcement action in
instances of noncompliance with the MEL.

Evaluates requests to operate under conditions not previously specified in the maintenance portion of the operations specifications and approves or disapproves. requests and provides additional conditions and limitations as needed.

Directs the inspection and surveillance of the air carrier's continuous airworthiness maintenance program. Monitors all phases of the air carrier's maintenance operation, including the following: maintenance, engineering quality control, production control, training, and reliability programs. Analyzes trends to detect. a deterioration in the maintenance program.

Analyzes reports submitted by the air carrier to ensure compliance with the maintenance program and assures the air carrier has an effective continuing analysis and surveillance program to meet the requirements of the FARs.
