A day in the life:
You will:

Operating the scheduling system in order to ensure the correct/appropriate technical resource is able to respond to work allocated to them
Provide support and “best practice” on the scheduling system to ensure high levels of utilisation
Ensuring void property repairs are completed in line with KPIs through the allocation of resources
Continually review the scheduling system to achieve maximum operative efficiency. To include rescheduling for non-availability and resident appointment changes
Liaise with residents, contractors and customers to achieve excellent customer service and KPIs
Ensure all work is carried out in line with Data Protection and other appropriate legislation
Supporting the Technical resources in ensuring continuity of the repairs service by resolving day to day issues in respect of work allocation and resource availability
Be Supporting staff and ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of excellent customer focused services
Provide “surge capacity” as required within the Department


What you’ll need to have:

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
An instinctive and practical understanding or what constitutes excellent customer care, how it can be measured and improved and a commitment to delivering it
Experience working in a deadline driven environment
Experience using common sense, intuition and resourcefulness to successfully solve problems
Knowledge/experience of housing, repairs or a related discipline

• The qualified drivers shall be responsible for the collection of cadavers upon activation by the Authority. They shall also meet the activation response time for the collection of cadavers as set by the Authority.
• At the start of every shift, the qualified drivers shall report to an officer appointed by the Authority. The qualified drivers shall also conduct pre-shift checks on the vehicle and any equipment provide by the Authority to ensure that all are in order and there is sufficient equipment to last throughout the shift. Any issues shall be flagged up to the officer appointed by the Authority promptly.
• The qualified drivers shall report and be stationed at a designated location as specified by the Authority, and be on standby to operate the Police vehicle upon activation by the Authority. The qualified drivers shall pick up the undertakers from a location directed by the Authority within 30 minutes of activation, before proceeding to a scene or hospital upon activation by the Authority. No unauthorised persons shall travel on the vehicle unless there is prior approval from the Authority.
• The qualified drivers shall ensure that the body bags are properly sealed prior to departure from a scene or hospital to the location directed by the Authority. Any lapses detected shall be reported to the on-duty officers promptly. The qualified drivers shall ensure that the cadavers collected are subsequently transported untampered to the location directed by the Authority, before a pre-determined timing daily.
• The integrity and evidential value of the cadaver shall be maintained and due care shall be exercised to prevent tampering or damage to the cadaver while the vehicle is in motion.
• The transport shall be based on stipulated guidelines from the Police and be adhered to.

Qualification

• Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents;
• Able to understand, communicate and write in English;
• Minimum two years of driving experience with no more than 12 demerit points accumulated in the past one year;
• Preferably with experience in transportation for enforcement or security agencies; and
• Possess a valid Class 4 driving license.
