This post was created as part of an organisational change process and will be based in a new corporate Business Support Service, where the successful candidate will be working across all council services, maximising council effectiveness through analytics, learning and improvement.

You will be part of the corporate Performance Team that will deliver performance management, improvement and information assurance support to council services. This will include provision of analytical and quality assurance support to leaders and services across the council.

You will support the implementation of corporate performance, improvement and information assurance processes that will help the council to improve and/or meet business requirements.

You will have experience of collating and analyzing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. This will include the development of management reports and recommendations and performance information that will be reported through the council’s governance structure and used by senior officers and stakeholders to assess service performance.

You will support information governance arrangements in the council and assist services to respond to information requests and complaints within timescale.

About you and this role

We are looking for you, an ambitious Bachelor student (3rd or 4th year), to support our Customer Service Team by doing an internship project in Supply Chain and Logistics Operations for our location in Terneuzen, the Netherlands.

Project description Your internship will be jointly created so it will fit your interests and educational needs and could be within any of our Business Customer Service Team or Improve & Scale Team.

Focus areas could be Dow’s End to End Process, digitalization, tackling customer focused integrated supply chain challenges or improving the customer experience?

Qualifications

• You are currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Engineering (Bedrijfskunde), Commercial Economics or equivalent.
• You have a good working knowledge of English and preferably one other language (f.e. Spanish/French and/or German)

• You have good verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably one other language.
• You are eager on identifying and driving opportunities for (future) improvements.
• You are hands-on, eager to learn and a good listener.
• You can communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
• You are organized, pro-active and have a problem-solving mindset.
• You have advanced Microsoft office skills (MS Teams, Excel).
• You collaborate well in a team as well as independent.

Additional notes

You can start or between February and March 2024 or between September and October 2024 for a period of 5-6 months (exact timing to be discussed).
