The Role:

• Lead the supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier management, including managing the entire contract life cycle from Request for Proposal to supplier exit.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in a Sourcing and Program Management position
• Metallic sourcing and sand casting relative experience is must.
• Experience in casting machining is a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The incumbent is responsible in providing support and execution for Freight Bill Audit, Invoice verification and Payment process within the Distribution & Logistics function. You will be accountable for the auditing, timely and accurate invoicing process of the company’s Freight and Domestic expenses, support Freight Bill Audit and Payment (FBAP) process improvement (Automation), financial data collation and simple analysis in support of financial management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

This will involve interaction within the Asia Pacific China Japan (APCJ) Supply Chain Operation (SCO) Market Operations’ teams, shipping sites and liaison with external providers (such as our Global Freight Forwarders) to:

• Conduct transactional audit for freight invoices according to SOPs and applicable contractual rates.
• Utilize databases (Freight bill matrix), and subject matter expert as resources to gain information required for audit and payment approval process.
• Work with external providers on invoice(s) discrepancies, duplication, rejections and getting them to provide the correct and accurate invoice(s). (e.g. When invoices are not billed according to contractual rates)
• Clarification with shipping sites Freight audit related on shipping related information such as ship mode and service level adherence.
• Support financial information collation and minor analysis for monthly Distribution & Logistics (D&L) spend analysis, accrual workings, market expense breakdown, and management reporting.
• Support and provision of expense and financial related information to facilitate discussions with EMEA D&L team.
• Support the creation of Freight Bill Audit and Payment (FBAP) audit tool to improve productivity of manual audit process.
• Support the transition and implementation of automation (system) for Freight Bill Audit and Payment (FBAP).
• Support the revision of current SOPs due to process revisions from Financial Supply Chain and Incoterm change exercise.

• Responsible for managing all aspects of vessel operations of dry bulk vessels
• Ensure that communication with all parties including vessels, local offices, procurement department, ship managers, agents, other associated companies, and sub-contractors is done correctly and in accordance with existing work instructions and valid charter-party and contract conditions.
• Plan the voyage from start to finish. You will anticipate possible problems in advance and adjust plans as needed to achieve the most cost-effective solutions.
• Respond to any problems that arise during the voyage and put in hand whatever corrective measures may be required.
• Responsible for optimizing the efficiency of the voyage – which includes minimizing all voyage-related costs and time. To calculate cargo intake as may be required and coordinate the preparation of pre-stow plans in accordance with the Voyage Planning and Execution Procedure.

• Responsible for close coordination with Port Captain and/or local operations staff throughout the loading or discharging of vessels as required in order to achieve the most cost-efficient coastal passage.
• Responsible for the monitoring and follow-up of all vessel performance issues, whether owned or TC ships, including off-hire.
• Responsible for ensuring that the voyage management system, including the vessel’s schedule is kept properly updated at all times.
• Responsible for ensuring all cargo documents are completed and distributed as required by BMS and/or Charter parties and/or contracts.
• Responsible for ensuring that required Letters of Indemnity are prepared in accordance with company policy.
• Responsible for ensuring that all necessary and appropriate notices are given to the insurance and claims department and that internal procedures are followed in case of any planned ice call.
• In case of claimed damages to either ship or cargo, the job holder is to ensure that the appropriate actions are taken to protect the company´s interests, seeking guidance as needed.

• Maritime degree at Bachelor level (shipping operations etc) or equivalent maritime qualification.
