Role Overview:
As a Traffic Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination between drivers, internal teams, and external partners. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Develop and implement a 365-day resource plan, adhering to our client policies and transport regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams to execute resource plans effectively

Liaise between shunters, transport planning team, distribution center, and factories
Provide administrative support to the logistics traffic office

Independent Forgings and Alloys are on the lookout for a Transport Administrator to join our Logistics Team.

Responsibilities

As our Transport Administrator, you will create and manage shipping paperwork from our internal system, physically check outgoing orders prior to creating paperwork and liaise with production control for all orders ready to ship. Liaising with the packing department to ensure the correct data is uploaded, you will identify potential packing problems using data provided from the system. You are a key part of the team to ensure that all orders are met in full and on time.

You will also support the rest of the Logistics team with various tasks, from providing quotations on shipments and arranging cargo movements, to coordinating UK shipments using internal drivers and vehicles. This is an incredibly varied role!

Who are we looking for?

We would like our Transport Administrator to have at least 1 years’ experience within a Logistics manufacturing environment and will be comfortable dealing with both Imports and Exports. Knowledge of packaging requirements for overseas shipments is essential and basic knowledge of INCO terms 2010 / 2020 would be desirable.

With the ability to both take instruction and work on your own initiative; you will be an excellent communicator and will have strong IT skills.

As a Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for the daily administration, maintenance, customer liaison, and data input/updates of their relevant software system. You will also be responsible for communication and administration with operational teams located within their warehouse and traffic departments.

Transport Administrator main duties:
* Perform daily administration tasks related to traffic management, ensuring accurate and timely completion of documentation.
* Check that all Timed Bookings are delivered on time
* Maintain and update the relevant software system with accurate and up-to-date information.
* Set up and enter all collections
* Assist with allocation of collections to drivers
* Assist with the coordination of drivers to make sure that all collections are covered
* Liaise with customers to address enquiries, resolve issues, and provide necessary updates.
* Coordinate with operational teams within the warehouse and traffic departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
* Input and action any Third Party collections entered onto IT Systems
* Assist with and ensure that all drivers have an e pod and know how to use them.
* Input and action held back and make sure all pallets are out on correct date
* Ensure all relevant daily run routines associated with traffic administration are carried out effectively.
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to traffic management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.

Transport Administrator Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in traffic administration or a similar role is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
* Effective communication skills to liaise with customers and internal teams.
