This Supervisory Transportation Security Officer position is located at DuBois Regional Airport (DUJ), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO), you will be responsible for mitigating actual and potential threats against civil aviation and other transportation modes. You will also perform and supervise in your area of specialty, which may include Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and Lead Transportation Security Officers (LTSOs) in the performance of all security functions related to the screening of people, property, and cargo through the use and application of procedures, techniques, and technology. In addition, you will make independent, security-based decisions using intelligence, critical thinking, experience, observation, and passenger engagement. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting and supervising subordinate employees in conducting pre-board security screening of persons, their carry-on and checked baggage/cargo.
• Overseeing screening checkpoint(s) and/or baggage screening operations on a day-to-day basis to include equipment, personnel, and the scheduling and rotation of personnel.
• Participating in the development of new policies and procedures, and recommending changes in policy and procedures based on observation of work, as required.
• Participating in the development of strategic planning initiatives, workforce planning, succession planning initiatives, and other reports and documents for TSA and superiors.
• Engaging in continuous development of critical thinking skills necessary to mitigate security threats by identifying, evaluating, and applying appropriate situational options and approaches.
• Preparing various types of communications such as morning briefings, checkpoint logs, reports, and documents that are germane to the work performed.
• Developing incident information and reports for Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) and superiors.
• Serving as a member of the National Screening Force.

This Supervisory Instructional System Specialist position is located Enterprise Support, Training & Development, Training Centers Division, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Analyzes and designs, develops, implements, and evaluates (ADDIE) new and existing training programs and new training course development for the TSA workforce; and utilizes Kirkpatrick Four-Level Training Evaluation Model to analyze training effectiveness.
• Provides expertise, advice, and recommendations to management regarding the processes used to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate both traditional and innovative education and training systems, creating performance improvement interventions to include interactive media and courseware.
• Develops innovative instructional processes and/or interventions to solve performance problems; researches and develops new programs in web-based or other digital delivery formats; and assists in procuring, developing, and evaluating interactive courseware and other tools necessary for the implementation of the ADDIE process, and interpreting and assisting in the development of Instructional policy as required.
• Creates and monitors training plans and timelines in a multi-disciplinary structured environment and obtains cooperation from multiple senior managers and staff for successful project completion.

This Program Analyst position is located in Civil Rights, Liberties, Ombudsman and Traveler Engagement (CRLOTE), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Analyzes and evaluates program areas to determine areas in which progress is unsatisfactory and to determine courses of action to remedy deficiencies.
• Establishes methodology and procedures for compiling, consolidating, reviewing, analyzing, tracking, and editing the program work requirements, budgets, and related documentation necessary to develop plans covering TSA requirements.

As a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO), you will be responsible for leading at least three full-performance level Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and, as assigned, trainee and apprentice level TSOs. As an LTSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill level. You will make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Monitors the overall effectiveness of the instructional design programs for instructor led and web-based training programs that are based on the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. Applies professional skills and knowledge to develop innovative and effective solutions for evaluation issues and established T&D curriculum development standards and policy.
• Establishes, adjusts, or redefines curriculum development standards, develops quality control assessment tools and methodologies.
• Briefs and provides authoritative advice to the course sponsors, subject matter experts, headquarters, field managers, senior leadership, and represents the Division at meetings, conferences, and workshops relating to curriculum development and management; to include, related policy development, program responsibilities and operations.
• Implements a proactive planning strategy to ensure timely introduction of new or revised procedures, techniques, or operational concepts to achieve the mission requirements.
