EXPERIENCED CLASS 1 HGV DRIVERS REQUIRED FOR PEAK CONTRACT

Location: Skelmersdale

Our client, based in Skelmersdale, is looking for experienced class 1 drivers for their peak contract. Every year they work on behalf of the UKs biggest mail distributor working in partnership to move trailers around the UK. The working patterns are flexible and we welcome full time and part time drivers.

Start times and shift patterns are planned a week in advance and we can accommodate very early starts all the way through to night drivers.

THE JOB

This job requires the driver to pass a short induction / driving assessment.

The job involves trunking trailers around key customer hub depots around the UK.

Average shift length is approx 10-12 hours per day

Shift Rates (Without Holiday Pay Included)

Days - £165 per shift

Nights - £175 per shift

Saturday - £210 per shift

Sunday - £220 per shift

Shift Rates (With Holiday Pay Included)

Days - £184 per shift

Nights - £196 per shift

Saturday - £235 per shift

Sunday - £246 per shift

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A DRIVER:

We are looking for committed drivers looking for ongoing work.

Must have a valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence.

For Insurance purposes you will need to have no more than 3 minor points on your licence.

For Insurance purposes you will need to have 12 months HGV Driving experience

Our client, based in Preston, is looking for experienced class 1 drivers who are willing to do curtain side deliveries around the UK. They are looking for both AM and PM drivers. They have the shift availability for weekdays and weekends.

Pay Rates (PAYE Included)

Days - £15.00

Nights - £16.50

Saturday - £17.00

Sunday - £18.00

Pay Rates (PAYE Included)

Days - £16.81

Nights - £18.49

Saturday - £19.05

THE JOB

This job requires the driver to complete a short induction at the start of their shift.

The job involves making palletised deliveries around the UK.

Average shift length is approx 10-12 hours per day

Day shift start times are between 0500am - 0900

Night shift start times are between 1700 -2200

Export Coordinator
Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

Our client are looking for a temporary member of staff who can hit the ground running at this very busy period.
To apply for this role you must have Export and SAP experience!!

Duties of the Export Coordinator include:

* Process orders in a timely and accurate manner
* Ensure communication targets to customers is achieved
* Processing orders with SAP
* Understand and navigate stock, order entry & dispatch screens
* Create Export documentation in systems
* Produce regular outstanding customer order reports as required
* Manage a complex dispatch schedule across 3 dispatch points
* Combining shipments where feasible from 3 locations
* Minimising cost to the business by effective management of logistics
* Understanding of export shipment terms
* Communication to key Stakeholders across 3 sites, managing 3 different dispatch/ production and manufacturing demands
* Weekly calls with key stake holders to ensure timely shipments
* Detailed review and approval of freight invoices

The ideal candidate will be hard working, have the ability to pick things up really quickly and not be worried to get stuck into the role. As mentioned above we can only consider candidates with Export experience as training on this isn't provided.

Search Consultancy are recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for our Client in Skelmersdale.
As well as excellent rates of pay, you will be rewarded with clean work, good hours and regular shifts our client offer regular ongoing work

The Job
Driving a Class 1 Truck (either curtain side or box unit trailer). You will be trunking around the UK, similar experience delivering to regional distribution centres is an advantage. Duties will involve dropping and swapping trailers, delivering and reloading and collections.
