Job description - Distribution Supervisor

We are one of the UK’s leading newspaper and magazine delivery companies. We provide a delivery service to over 70,000 households and businesses across the UK. The success of the business depends on providing a first class, reliable delivery service to our customers.

A Supervisor will lead a team of 20+ delivery drivers to ensure reliable delivery of newspapers and magazines to private and business customers.

Distribution Supervisors are critical to their continued success and form an important part of their overall management function. You will have the following primary roles:

To manage and oversee the overall packing and distribution function within your territory (including overnight operations).
To ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on time in line with our expected service levels.
Support the recruitment, training and the retention process and pipeline to maintain acceptable staffing levels.
Be accountable for administration including morning handover of night’s outcomes, health & safety, and cover arrangements
Preparing rounds, monitoring time keeping and attendance, and other daily admin tasks
Where necessary, supervisors may be required to cover rounds or complete re-deliveries for which you will earn extra money.
Leading the team and moral of the workforce. On the ground support and presence required.

£12 - £13 p/h dependant on area, £15 p/h overtime rate

· Roughly 2am start time

· Approximately 7.5 hours work each day.

· 6 mornings on, 2 mornings off

Newspaper Delivery Driver – Up to £82.50 per day - £11 p/h - Scotland - Glasgow

NewsTeam Group are currently looking for an Early Morning Newspaper Delivery driver in the above area. Immediate start available.

About the role
PAYE contract, 6 days on 2 days off schedule - ideal if you’re looking to earn some extra money while leaving time for other commitments during the day. You will be delivering newspapers to households on a pre-designated route.

Requirements
To join our team as an early morning delivery driver you need to:
• Be available to work 7 mornings a week from 1:30am - 8:30am (approx 7 - 7.5 hrs round length of 4 - 4.5. hours plus additional packing or redeliveries)
• Own a smartphone (android or iPhone)
• Must be 25+ and hold a full valid UK/European driving licence for insurance purposes
