Your responsibilities in this role:
Responsible for the rectification and repair of the Hercules C130J/C130 Legacy model aircraft avionics and electrical systems (and when required Role Equipment), including functional testing, fault finding, embodiment of modifications, technical instructions, and scheduled maintenance I.A.W relevant Air Publications and Job Guides. They will comply with procedures and practices laid down in local regulations and company business management system procedures, or as directed by the relevant Team Leader.
This position will require work predominantly on a day shift, as directed in support of customer requirements.

Qualifications
- Have an Aeronautical apprenticeship and/or military equivalent in avionics and/or electrical systems.
Essential
- Relevant recent experience of aircraft avionics and/or electrical systems.
- Proven track record in the Aerospace industry and evidence to support this (preferably evidence of certification / approval / authorisations).
- Possess a sound knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
- Understanding of Human Factors.
- Previous aircraft wiring harness repair/manufacture, including the use of a wide range of crimp tools, and soldering experience.
- Able to understand and interpret technical data including wiring diagrams.
- Computer skills to enable computer-based certification.
- Good literacy skills including English Language proficiency to level 4.
- Right to work in the U.K.
- Hold a current UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Previously held a Lockheed C130 qualification.
- Supervisory experience.
- Previous use of IFS computer systems.
- Experience of managing internal and external relationships with customers, aircraft tradesmen, other departments.
- Experience in mentoring staff.
- Actively support, promote, and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and activity to ensure that progressive gains in efficiency are maintained.
