We have a rewarding opportunity for a full time permanent Shunter Driver in Fort William, Highland.

As a shunter driver you could earn in excess of £30,000 per year and may progress your skills to HGV driver.

Duties will include checking equipment for suitability, shunting trailers in the yard in and out of loading bays and securing loads.

You must be confident, competent and have good communication skills given the safety critical nature of the work that is undertaken.

The hours of work are based over Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available at weekends which will be discussed further at interview stage. Due to the nature of our operations, reasonable flexibility is expected regarding working hours.

We have a vacancy for a class 2 driver in an ever demanding sector. Working Sundays and Mondays, and occasionally varies depending on the time of year. Overnight responsibility of load. The position is very much a hands on approach .

Working primariarly in Fort William. No overnight/working away from home. Usual working hours Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Driver duties include:

• Complying with traffic laws and regulations
• Maintaining accurate records of their deliveries
• Performing daily vehicle walk round inspections
• Communicating with staff and customers to coordinate deliveries
• Loading and unloading cargo (forklift certificate advantageous but training can be given)
• Following safety procedures and regulations
• Able to work independantly and as part of a team

Candidates on occasion will be required to work onsite to assist with operations at the quay such as loading/unloading cargo ships.
