The Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD) was established in 2017 with funding from the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE). The Research Fellow will conduct both experimental and numerical research to develop more efficient lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) with enhanced thermoresponse capability

Key Responsibilities:

Job Summary: The LIBR Clinical Research Coordinator III administers structured and non-structured psychiatric assessments to establish DSM-5 diagnoses for organizing and conducting human subjects research studies on neuropsychiatric disorders and substance use subjects. About the Opportunity

The SymBioSys Lab (www.simbiosyslab.com) is seeking an independent and creative postdoctoral associate to support research on computational modeling of complex protein-glycan intereactions in the broad field of glycoprotein-based therapeutic design. Strong background and experience with applications of machine learning (especially Explainable Artificial Intelligence – XAI) is required. The available position is in the Chemical Engineering Department of Northeastern University (Boston Campus). About our lab: The overarching goal in our laboratory is to develop novel computer-driven solutions to glycoprotein-based biomedical challenges. Two independent thrusts targeting viral vaccine engineering and biomaterial design form the current research focus. This is a cross-disciplinary group at the interface of Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Physics and Computer Science. All research is expected to occur in association with other experimental collaborators (both intra- and extramural).

Qualifications:

Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent; be able to undertake substantially full-time research or scholarship; work under the supervision of a senior scholar. Assistant Professor (tenure track) Positions in Climate Science
The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore seeks to appoint one Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Climate Science. About the Opportunity

Summary

The School of Architecture in the College of Arts, Media and Design at Northeastern University seeks applications for the 2024-25 Design Research and Teaching Fellowship, a one-year visiting appointment that provides emerging scholars, practitioners, and advocates of the built environment with the opportunity to develop a body of design research based on a specific area of interest while contributing to the vibrant intellectual culture of the school. The position is a non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor and is scheduled to commence in August, 2024.

The fellowship supports teaching related to the candidate’s area of interest, as well as modest resources for the development of independent research and creative work. Fellows will have the opportunity to design new curricula for studio and seminar courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as to teach within the School of Architecture’s core curriculum. They will be provided with opportunities to share their ongoing fellowship work with the wider Northeastern community through lectures, presentations, and exhibitions throughout the academic year. In particular, fellows are invited to engage and collaborate with the diverse faculty body within the School of Architecture, across the College of Arts, Media and Design, and with other colleges and centers across the University. Responsibilities

The teaching responsibilities of the fellowship include three courses taught during the 2024-25 academic year. As the culmination of the fellowship year, the Fellow will be invited to deliver a lecture as part of the School of Architecture’s public lecture series and/or to prepare an exhibition or other event that showcases the research, teaching, and/or creative work that they conducted while in residence at the school.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a terminal degree (PhD, Master’s, or equivalent) in their proposed area of research by the appointment start date. Applicants with prior studio teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Documents 

• 1-page Cover Letter outlining your interests in the position.

• A 1-2 page proposal for a year-long design research project that will be developed as part of the fellowship. The proposal must include a description of how this project can be explored through a research studio curriculum.

• A curriculum vitae

• A portfolio of recent work (not to exceed 20 pages and 50MB maximum)

• Names and contact information for 3 references. Letters of recommendation will only be requested for finalists.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Assist lead CRC in developing source document templates in Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar program. Source documents should be routinely maintained to reflect accurate information that is required of sponsors by verifying against eCRF software.
• Completes relevant data collection, entry and analysis as and when needed.
• Coordinates the efforts of case finding and recruitment of study patients.
• Create, organize, submit, and maintain all pertinent study documents, records, and logs from start-up to study closure between sponsor and other offices. Documents would include regulatory documents, contracts, temperature logs, budgets, licenses, training documentation, etc.
• Creates and maintains study and subject specific case report forms. Develop data collection worksheets that ensure complete collection of data which can be accurately transmitted by data entry staff.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in collaboration with other members of the Clinical Research Team to provide safe quality care to our subject population and efficiently complete daily responsibilities which include the following:
• Develop documents and processes for successful trial implementation which are consistent with internal processes and procedures, regulatory requirements, and “Good Clinical Practice.”
• Facilitate site monitoring visits by assuring they have all the information and materials needed to effectively perform their job, assisting them while on site, close-out visit with investigator, addressing action items in monitoring letter.
• Follows study protocol in scheduling of tests, procedures, and administration of medications.
• Implement effective study-specific screening, enrollment, and follow-up processes.
• All other duties as assigned.
